What a wonderful event! It was fantastic to see so many colourful creations. Thank you to all of those families who joined us for breakfast. Mr Parker and Mr MacDonald did a brilliant job on the BBQ and Mrs Low and Mr Clouten made sure the bacon and eggs kept coming. Thank you to the Easter Bunny and his helper who led the parade, and to all of the family members who came along to see our students. Congratulations to all of the raffle prize winners. We had 37 prizes on offer due to the wonderful generosity of our community and the hard work of our P&C. Year 2 Egg Drop Congratulations Year 2, your Egg Drop was lots of fun. You made some amazing packages with your eggs being supported by foam, cardboard and even balloons. Thank you to Ms Clogan, Mrs Herron and Mrs Ronan for organising this event. SLIKK Camp Well done to all of our students who attended the recent SLIKK Leadership Camp at Scott s Head. These students were wonderful representatives of our school and enjoyed learning about traditional Gumbayngirr culture with students from other schools.

Yarning Circle Opening What a great event! It was fantastic to have visitors in our school celebrating the Official Opening of our Yarning Circle. The cultural dance group did a wonderful performance and the Year 6 student displays were very informative. A big thank you to all of the people who helped organise this event, including Ms Yates, RJ Donovan, Mr Mac and Miss Atkins. Cricket Good luck to our cricket team who are playing Urunga tomorrow. We wish you all the very best of luck! Thank you to Mr Oborn for organising this event. Oz Tag Gala Day On Friday, 6th April, a large number of our students will be participating in the OzTag Gala Day at Nambucca Heads. The students who went to the Gala Day last year had a lot of fun and we re looking forward to another great day. Thank you Mr Greenway for organising this opportunity for our students. ICAS - Voluntary testing We are offering students from years 3,4,5,and 6 the opportunity to participate in ICAS testing organised by the University of New South Wales. Students can choose to do the English, Maths, Spelling, Writing and Science tests. If you are interested in your child participating in these tests, please contact the office for a permission form. Notes and participation fees are to be handed in to the office no later than 12th April. ~ Tanya Bajda, Acting Principal The iconic year 2 Egg Drop was held last week after the Easter Hat Parade. Each year students in year two design and create a vessel that holds a raw egg to be dropped from a high ladder. There were many unique and creative designs that successfully landed unbroken eggs. To the delight of the cheering crowd, many designs could not keep the fragile shell of the delicate eggs from shattering and splattering glorious egg yolk all over the playground! Well done year 2 and thanks for a fantastic show! ~ Ms Clogan Teacher
