Space Transformation following Pedagogy Changes MALL Math Active Learning Lab O Kelly Hall UND Data showed only 52 percent of pre-calculus students successfully completed the course with an A,B or C grade from Fall 2012-Spring 2015, a trend also mirrored in other math classes Math Department decided we needed a change in the way math is taught to help students be successful Tied to Strategic Plan Goal 2

Digicomm The Department of Communication, the second-largest department in Arts & Sciences, is now in one building, and the second floor of Columbia Hall has been renovated to an open learning concept laboratory and tied to the public speaking course. Digicomm opened this fall Public speaking course is taught to 2,000 students each year and will take place in this lab.
