Carramar RESPONSIBLE RESPECTFUL I AM A LEARNER A STAR Ph: 08 9405 0600 SAFE Tuesday 11th December 2018 Issue 19 Email: Carramar.PS@education.wa.edu.au Www.carramarps.wa.edu.au From the Principal Dear Parents This will be our final newsletter for the year so I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their support over the year. I would particularly like to make mention of the School Board and P&C. I would like to thank all the Board members for the support and sound advice that they have provided over the year. Travis Robinson will be stepping down as Chairperson and I would like to acknowledge his positive contribution to the school community. The P&C have once again made an outstanding contribution to the school. The school community is very lucky to have such a dedicated group of parents. The P&C supports the school in many ways. Some of the major contributions that they have made this year include, providing Athletics to all our students, sharing the cost of Reading Eggs and Reading express, running the School Discos, supporting the Year 6 camp, overseeing the Canteen and Uniform Shop and coordinating all of the fund raising actives. Krystal Robinson, our P&C President will also be stepping down from her position for 2019. Krystal has been an outstanding P&C President and is highly thought of by the school comminuty. We wish her all the best for next year. Year 6 Graduation Congratulations to all the students and staff on a wonderful evening. Parent Survey Thank you to all the families who have completed the Parent Survey to date. I would remind everyone that the survey is open until Friday 14 th of December. If you have not completed the survey I would encourage you to do so. The information is important to the school as it allows us to identify areas that we can focus on. A reminder email has been forwarded with the link to the survey. Planning for 2019 The schools plan for 2019 are well underway. The class structure has been finalised based on the information that we have regarding student numbers. Class lists are all but finalised and will be posted in the undercover area, by the uniform shop on Thursday 31 st January around 12 PM. All the classes will be Straight Grades with the exception of a Pre-Primary /Year 1 Split (PP/1).

Safety Over the Holidays School Holidays are a timely reminder to talk with your children about personal safety. Some suggestions include, travelling with a companion, avoiding hidden areas such as bushlands or behind shopping centres and keeping alert by not wearing earphones and headphones. On behalf of the staff may I wish everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday. To the families leaving us, we wish you all the best in the future and for those staying, we look forward to seeing you all back in the New Year.
