Many families take time to visit relatives, go camping, or go on a vacation during the summer months. What a wonderful opportunity to spend time with your family. Remember not to take a vacation from God's Word. "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews 10:25. For a listing of churches at your vacation destination, go on els.org or wels.net. -Mr. Kevin L. Klug, Principal Recognition Night Our annual Recognition Night will be held tomorrow (Friday) beginning at 6:00 PM for students grades 3-8 and their families. Softball Summary Apparently our game against Trinity-St Luke s from Watertown was not meant to be, as the rain Sunday night made for unsafe field conditions on Monday, forcing us to cancel the game. Unfortunately, we could not come up with a mutually available date for another make-up attempt, so the game was simply canceled. Fortunately, we were able to get in our rematch against the second team from St. John s-juneau on Tuesday, and it was a very exciting end to our softball season. Your Hawks posted an impressive come-from-behind win in extra innings to capture their first win 10-9. Great job to all our players. Thanks also to all the parents and spectators who came to our games and cheered us on. State Art Competition Honorable Mention The Statewide Contest for the Helen Farnsworth Mears Art Show was held on Saturday, May 5, in Brown Deer, Wisconsin, Holy Trinity s very own Jeffrey Kalma won an Honorable Mention. We greatly appreciate your generous time commitment to our students! On that note, here is an update from Ms. Graves: When I took over as Librarian for Grades 1-4, in January, I had only planned on staying through the end of the school year. During the past month, I did some thinking and I ve decided to stay on as Librarian for the 2018-2019 school year. Thank you, Ms. Graves, for staying with us. We look forward to seeing you next year! Thank you, Mrs. Margaret Dwyer Over this past school year Mrs. Dwyer has volunteered with Mindplay for grades 1-4, and has been the librarian for grades 5-8. We sincerely thank you for giving your time so generously. We appreciate it very much! Thank you, Mr. Ritter The teachers thank Pete Ritter for the Teacher Appreciation Lunch that he served last week. It was delicious and we are grateful for having the time to relax a little and chat with our colleagues. Thank you!

News from the East Campus Learning Center Update Our After-School and Main Childcare classrooms are being updated! We d like to extend special thanks to Gary Witt for volunteering his painting skills to refresh the rooms with new colors. We greatly appreciate his time and effort to transform these spaces. Be sure to visit the East Campus to check out the new looks! Summer Program and 2018-19 Fall Registration There is still time to register for the Learning Center s Summer programs. Activity packets are still available in the Learning Center office. If you ve not already done so, please return your interest survey to help us plan our activities and staff levels accordingly. Be sure to also return your 2018-19 Fall Registration prior to May 25th to receive a registration fee discount. If you have friends with young children, please ask them to visit our website, check out our Facebook page, follow us on Instagram or contact us to arrange a tour. Word of mouth is our best advertising. Please help us advertise the quality, Christian education available at Holy Trinity! 2K News We are nearing the end of the first year of Holy Trinity s 2K program. The six children in 2K meet from 8-11 on Mondays and Wednesdays. They are excited to come to school, play with friends, learn about new things and best of all, hear about Jesus! They enjoy putting puzzles together, building with blocks, trains and legos, working with play-doh, painting, visiting the sensory table, singing Bible songs and playing outside or in the gym. 3K News This year, there are eight children who meet from 8-11am on Tuesdays and Thursdays in our 3K program. This month, we are learning about seeds and plants. We planted seeds to put in the garden and went on a field trip to Glacier Rock Farms. The bumpy hayride was the best part of the trip! Today, we drew pictures of our favorite field trip memory in our journals. We made flower planters for Mother s Day and are working on some topsecret projects for our dads, too! Next week, we will celebrate the last week of school with a trip to Cushing Park and our last Birthday party! We d like to thank Pastor Hartwig for our chapel visits every Thursday this semester. We ve learned that Jesus is our best friend. We love to hear his word and sing his praises!
