Bloomer High School Newsletter Bloomer School District website: www.bloomer.k12.wi.us Chad Steinmetz, High School Principal From the Principal s Desk December, 2018 Trimester Transition / Report Cards Thursday, November 29 was the last day of classes in our first trimester. Students completed final assessments on Wednesday, November 28 and Thursday, November 29. On Monday, December 3, we begin the second trimester, which runs through Thursday, March 7. Report cards from first trimester will be mailed home during the first week of December, and the 15 school-day ineligibility period will begin on Wednesday, December 5. This impacts any students who received a failing or incomplete grade during first trimester, and it applies to all extra-curricular activities, not just athletics. Such students can regain eligibility on Friday, January 4, provided they are passing all second trimester courses. On behalf of the staff at Bloomer High School, I would like to thank our students for a successful and smooth first trimester! College Representative Visits: December 5 th UWEC December 12 th - CVTC PreACT At the end of October, juniors took the PreACT. They have received their score reports that have their estimated score of what they could score on the ACT when they take it in February. It also has what questions that they answered correctly and which ones they did not with the correct answer labeled. All students were given their test booklet so they can look back at any questions that were on the PreACT. Another great part of the PreACT is it has an interest inventory that shows career areas that students might consider based on their interests. If any juniors would like to be a part of ACT prep group that we will be running in December and January, please sign up in student services. Come join the Bloomer High School Band and Choir on Sunday, December 16 th at 2pm for their annual Holiday concert! It is sure to get you in the Holiday Spirit! Challenge Empower Achieve
