BOY LPAC Administrator Checklist
EOY LPAC Administrator Checklist LPAC Event Online in estar Comments Date Completed EOY LPAC Complete the following screen in estar: 9 Reason for Meeting: EOY LPAC/Annual Review 5 th into 6 th and secondary: Complete scheduling for ESL students on screen 21 of estar. Before the LPAC: -Train all members participating in EOY LPAC procedures. Keep oaths and documentation in place. -Input EOY OLPT assessment scores of students who do not have two consecutive years of TELPAS data into estar Screen 13 (IPT) for progress. -Input the norm-referenced test, (TERRA NOVA) if applicable for 1 st, 2 nd, 11 th and 12 th graders for exits screen 16 in estar. -Invite the special education rep to the LPAC when discussing ELL/Sped students. The LPAC reviews exit criteria and may need to set the exit criteria for next year if student does not meet exit criteria. The special education department needs to update the student s services for next year if the student meets the exit criteria. -Run LEP, M1s, M2s, M3 and M4s reports from TEAMs to ensure all students are included in the EOY LPAC. -Ensure upcoming course recommendations are entered for grades 5 8 in preparation for the transition meeting and those 9-12 students needing an ESL reading class (Beg or Int in TELPAS reading) During the LPAC: - Review state assessment results. - Review linguistic accommodations that have been entered. - Review course recommendations for 5 th 12 th grade students. - Review EOY LPAC recommendation. - Ensure that LPAC committee members use the draw it feature not text for the signature of the meeting minutes. After the LPAC: -Send home the annual student progress report. -For students pending exit due to state assessment results, please plan to send home the exit letter for students meeting exit criteria. Document attempts to notify parents of ALL students with exited status under LPAC Notes. Update Pending in the EOY LPAC recommendation to No once the exit letter has been received as signed and dated by the parent. Upload signed exit letters into estar. Also, send home the parent progress reports from estar home to the parents. Communicate with the Bilingual/ESL dept. to assist with providing information for 5 th going 6 th grade and 8 th grade to 9 th grade. -Secondary: Provide bundle of ELL schedules to your counselor so that counselor can update students schedules right after the LPAC meeting. -Grades 2 12 wait to archive until State assessments scores are received to determine if students have exited (TELPAS listening and speaking) Notify Joseph Rodriguez, (Pre-K 12 th LPAC Specialist) and PEIMS data Clerk, Eunice Renteria, when LPACs are completed.
