MBA Executive Events This fall Henley Alumni Association Netherlands will start with a new initiative: The MBA Executive Events. We aim to continue to challenge our alumni academically through interaction with leading Dutch companies and inspiring guest lecturers and business leaders. As a starting point for developing this program, we took the Henley MBA curriculum. We will challenge to you solve a (real life) case, invite guest lecturers or focus on improving your management skills. The meetings will take place on Thursdays, either in the afternoon or in the evenings. 22 November 2007 20 March 2008 22 May 2008 24 July 2008 18 September 2008 20 November 2008 The first meeting will be hosted by Imtech. This session will include a real life case that needs to be solved by the group. The process will be facilitated by HAAN and input for the case will be provided by Imtech. We will start the registration process for the entire program in the coming weeks. Besides your enthusiastic participation, we could use your input in shaping the program and expand our network. Your suggestions are very welcome. We would also like to invite people who are (experienced) facilitators to help us with one of the themes. For more information, please contact Caroline van Gorp at 06-20137362. News from our members Do you have a new job or a new activity? Do you have anything else of interest to the HAAN members, which you want to share with your fellow alumni? Please mail a short message, preferably in English, to williamjackman@henley.nl and your message will either be forwarded by mail and/or incorporated in the next newsletter.
Brand New!! Henley Management College Group on LinkedIn Dear Henley alumnus, I'm very pleased to let you know that we have now created a Henley Management College group on Linkedin, and by clicking on the link below you will be able to join this group. If you are already a Linkedin member (and many of you are), then this will be a very smooth process and will immediately allow you to network with past and present programme members from other courses, intakes, industries and locations. If you are not yet a LinkedIn member, you will no doubt be prompted to join, which is relatively painless. Your name and this email have been pre-loaded, which should avoid any delays. However, if your LinkedIn email address is a different one, your application will be placed as pending for a short while. LinkedIn is a reassuringly simple site based on an even more reassuringly simple concept - business networking and referrals. As such, it differs from and perhaps complements other social networking sites such as Facebook. Apologies if this is the second invitation to this group that you have received - some of you may still be finishing your MBA and therefore both in the alumni and current programme member category. In the coming days and weeks you will also notice many other alumni, faculty and staff joining up. All this will add up to an amazing and dynamic business and career development tool, and one that stretches beyond your own programme. See you online!
