Call to Order The meeting was called to order by Travis Neal, Board President. Board Members present were Travis Neal,,, James Westerman, Lori Pilz. 2. Minutes James Westerman It was recommended that the board approved the enclosed minutes of the May 18, 2015 executive and regular meetings. 3. Superintendent s Report Dates: July 19-25 July 23 July 27 July 28 July 28 July 29 Riipley County 4H Fair-school booth World Archery Tournament in Nashville, TN School Registration 10-4PM @ HS School Registration noon-7pm @ HS Annual Summer Bus mtg-8:30-11:30 @ Elem. Library School Registration 10-4PM @ HS Reports: *Issues with Class Scheduling: Mr. Taylor explained the schedule process to the board and assured them that Mr. Werner and Mrs. Caudill will be available during bookstore registration to help with any scheduling issues. *Summer Recreation Activities: Mr. Taylor commented that the summer recreation program is going very well this year. *Retirements -Arlene Knudson-32 years -Andy O Grady-16 years -Debbie Carroll-25 years All retirees were commended for their contribution to the students and staff of Jac-Cen-Del. *Information on Proposed R-CATS Alternative to Suspension Program: Jac-Cen-Del is looking into utilizing this program but to date it is only in the planning stages. Recognition *Class of 2015 Graduation *JCD Girls wins ORVC Overall All Sports Award with JCD Boys placing 2 nd. *Lucas Williams shot a 77 and advanced to Golf Regionals on June 11 at Champions Point. 2
5. Treasurer s Report/Approval of Claims Docket The Financial Overview of Accounts is provided with information regarding the six funds. It was recommended that payroll and other claims #384 to #484 for 2015 be approved. Lori Pilz It was recommended that the board grant permission to advertise the following budgets for 2016. It is further recommended that the superintendent and /or treasurer be permitted to make adjustments to said budgets as needed: General Transportation School Bus Replacement Debt Service Capital Projects Rainy Day Fund Motion- Second- 6. Donations It was recommended that the board accept the following donations to the girls basketball program: $750.00 from the BMW store, $1,500.00 from Bruns- Gutzwiller, and $2,500.00 from the United Community Bank. 7. Personnel It was recommended that the board accept the retirement of Elizabeth Arlene Knudson at the end of the 2014 2015 contract year. It is also recommended that the board waive the one year deadline for submission of a request to retire. James Westerman It was recommended that the board accept the retirement of Andrew O Grady at the end of the 2014 2015 contract year. It is also recommended that the board waive the one year deadline for submission of a request to retire. James Westerman It was recommended that the board accept the retirement of Deborah Carroll as a Jac-Cen-Del Instructional aide as of May 29, 2015. Lori Pilz It was recommended that the board accept the resignation of Destiny Fronk as Jac-Cen-Del Jr. Sr. High School cook assistant as of May 28, 2015. James Westerman It was recommended that the board accept the resignation of Matthew Inman as Jac-Cen-Del Jr. Sr. High School Government/Economics teacher as of July 31, 2015. Approval of Overnight Trips It was recommended that the board approve an overnight trip for boys basketball D-One Camp to Indiana Purdue at Fort Wayne, June 20-22, 2015 and girls team camp to Vincennes University, June 25-28, 2015. James Westerman 9. Permission to plan 2016 St. Louis Trip It was recommended that the board give permission for Travis Rohrig to begin planning the 2016 St. Louis trip. Lori Pilz 10. 2015-2016 Transfer Tuition Fees It was recommended that Jac-Cen-Del accept transfer students for the 2015-2016 school year if approved by the Superintendent. The transfer shall be tuition free for the 2015-2016 school year if the transfer occurs before September 14, 201 the 1 st semester. If approved after September 14, 2015, the tuition amount of $600.00 may be assessed. The transfer shall be tuition free for the 2 nd semester of the 2015-6
2016 school year if the transfer occurs before January 29, 2016. If approved after January 29, 2016, the tuition amount of $600.00 may be assessed. Approval of the Proposal for High School Gymnasium Sound System It was recommended that the board approve the proposal for the High School Gymnasium Sound System, quote # 3180.
