Podar International School, ICSE Newsletter December 2014-15 Annual Day 2014-15 PIS,ICSE, Aurangabad celebrated its annual gathering both for primary and secondary sections on 4 th December 2014 and 5 th December 2014 respectively. The theme for Primary Section was Jungle Book and for Secondary section was Navaras, the Nine Emotions of Life. The chief guest for the Primary section was Prof. Manish Sharma, Managing Director of MIT, Aurangabad. And the chief guest for the Secondary section was Dr. Sharad Advant, retired Principal of Saraswati Bhuvan collage, Aurangabad. The audiences were spell bound by enjoying the performance o Podarian on both the days. The primary students performed their acts and dances very enthusiastically and mesmerized the audience and the audience feel remember their childhood days. The secondary students showed all the nine emotions of the life in the form of acts and dances. The program ended with a finale where all the secondary students along with the students of Std XI performed on the famous hit song Indiawale. Primary Section

International Day Against Corruption On the day of INTERNATION Day Against Corruption DAY, the students from class 7 th B, of Podar International School, conducted morning assembly with the theme Say no to bribe and yes to Zero currency. On 19 th December 2014,Students performed some events to create awareness about how to handle the situations when they are forced to give some money to get their works done easily even without necessary documents in various government departments. The message is creative as they introduce zero rupee notes, which will be given to the particular person when he/she asks bride. The contextualized real life examples made the program very interesting and informative.
International Mountain Day December 11, "International Mountain Day", was designated by the United Nations General Assembly in 2003. The General Assembly "encouraged the international community to organize events at all levels on that day to highlight the importance of sustainable mountain development." International Mountain Day is "observed every year with a different theme relevant to sustainable mountain development. Birth Anniversary of Shrinivas Ramanujan Iyangar The young Podarians remarked the birth anniversary of the most eminent personality Dr. Ramanjuan Iyangar, during their morning assembly. A wonderment showcase representing the critical tricks in Maths, inevitable importance of Math in our life. Its immortal effect on our thinking process was well elaborated through dance, performing puzzles, fact files, skits, quiz and Maths jingle as well. The renowned authority of the school appreciated the precious efforts taken up by the Maths department to make the event memorable.
Podar Voice of the Year Music is the essence of life. It is that string our life touches the soul and enriches the mind. It is the food for the body and the soul. Music is mesmerising and soothing to the wretched hearts and rejuvenates the tired. Like every passing years, we at Podar ICSE, geared up to a gala musical night,, the greatest yearly event Podar Voice of the Year. It was a chilly wintery late evening on the 20 th December 2014 when innocent faces wchoed their voices and the ambience lit up with the grace. An Evening of 20 th December 2014 witnessed aspiring singers performing to their best.this show is a platform to budding singers of tomarrow. The persona behind the scene is none but our Principal Sir, Mr. Prashant Muley.His insight has borne this dream and helped it to culminate in reality. The participation was categories in two sections, Primary and Secondary. 120 and 125 students participated in the first round from primary and secondary sections respectively. After the audition, 30 and 38 students made it into the next round. And here they were given a choice of 6 songs by the Music teacher. The semifinalists were 10 each from both sections. And 5 lucky blessed ones emerged successful to the final round. The evening made its way; parents thronged in large numbers and encouraged the participants. It was a night of joy anxiety and thrill. The judges felt very proud to be amidst us and evaluate the candidates
Christmas Celebration Christmas is the festival of joy. It marks the birth anniversary Lord Jesus Christ- The Saviour. Podarian s marked this day in their unique style because there was not only one class who presented the celebration act but the entire school participated in it. The celebration started by making various Christmas decoration material like Christmas cap, Xmas tree, snow man, Santa clause mask, creep and many more. All the classrooms and corridor, soft boards were decorated with Christmas charts, Christmas tree and the other related decoration. The creep decorated the reception area grabbed everyone s attention and rejoiced the memories of birth of Jesus Christ. Students of grade 5 th A presented skit on origin o Santa Clause. The students of class III-V presented the Christmas Carnival. In the carnival, there were various groups such as Jesus Christ family, fairies, shepherds, balloons, ribbons and many more. The hollahoopes group leader led the carnival. The last group was Santa Clause group. The secret anta from school joined the group and spread joy everywhere. The choirgirls of grade VI welcomed Santa. He distributed sweets and gifts to the children. The Jingal bell rang throughout the day. Lord Jesus Christ and Santa Clause will shower their blessing and gift of joy on Podarian throughout the year.
Book Fair Scholastic Book Fair was held between 15 th December to 17 th December 2014 in the school premises. As usual, Scholastic Publication organizes book fair for students, parents, and staff. The fair started with the inauguration at the hand of our respected Principal Sir, Mr. Prashant Muley. Every class visited the fair according to the time allotted. Teachers and parents also visited the fair. The fair proved to be very useful as they guided the students to review the book according to their age group and interest, as there were books of various categories like fiction, non- fiction, references book, academic books, games stories tales and much more. The book fair was successful because of enthusiastic and encouraging response by all students, parents, and staff.
