TSPGLCET 2018 In terms of (1) G.O.Ms. No.52, Higher Education (UE-II) Department, dated 20-6-2007 and its amendments, issued by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, and 2) Proceedings No. TSCHE TSCHE/CETs/TSLAWCET-2018/Jan, Dated 02-01-2018 issued by Telangana State Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad, Osmania Univerwity, Hyderabad Telangana State will conduct the Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test-2018 (TSPGLCET-2018) for entry into those seats of 1 st year of LL.M.. Degree Courses for which the Government is competent. I GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: The Post-graduate law common entrance test 2018 & its ADMISSIONS will be made in strict compliance of the Rules and Regulations of the University Concerned, TSCHE and relevant G.O.s of Telangana State that are in force and also amendments that may come into force from time to time. 1. T S PGLCET-2018, may be held as per schedule. 2. Candidate should refer the registration number for all correspondence with the Convener. 3. The list of recognized/approved Law Colleges along with the sanctioned strength and the courses that are permitted by the University concerned/tsche and the seats for which the Government is competent to make admissions for the academic year 2018-2019 will be informed after publication of the results. COURSES OFFERED: a) LL.M Courses are offered as full-time regular courses in the University Colleges, constituent/pg Colleges of the University and Private Law Colleges affiliated to the Universities. b) The candidates seeking admission into LL.M. (self-financing) and LL.M. (Private Appearance) also need to qualify in the TSPGLCET-2018 II. INSTRUCTIONS CONCERNING ENTRANCE TEST 1. Educational qualifications : a) Candidates holding LL.B./B.L. 3 / 5 ye a r degree on the date of application and candidates who have appeared/appearing for LL.B./B.L. Final year examination are also eligible. b) The Candidates seeking admission into LL.M. (Private Appearance) of Osmania University, Hyderabad shall have a minimum experience of 3-years as a judicial officer or 3-years standing as an advocate on the date of appearing for TSPGLCET-2018. A candidate appearing for LLB/BL 3/5 year degree final examinations may take the TSPGLCET in anticipation of results. However he should pass the examination at the time of counseling. 2. Mere appearance in TSPGLCET will not give any right of admission. The candidate should satisfy all the eligibility criteria and should satisfy rules governing admission as are applicable.
Nationality and Domicile: The candidate should be an Indian National and should satisfy Local/Unreserved status requirement as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974 and the amendments made there to from time to time. 3. The CONVENER, TSPGLCET-2018 reserves the right to reject the application of any candidate at any stage, if: a) the application is incomplete, or b) the candidate fails to satisfy the eligibility conditions, or other rules of admissions or c) the entries in the application are not filled as required No correspondence will be entertained with regard to rejection of application on any one or more of the above grounds. 4. Any change whatsoever including that of Caste/Community/State/Category will not be permitted to be made in the application after its receipt by the Convener. 5. Medium of Entrance Test: The question paper will be set in English only. 6. The Candidates are advised to download the Hall tickets from the website http://pglcet.tsche.ac.in one week before the test. 7. In case of any Difficulty in downloading Hall ticket the candidates are advised to contact the Chief Superintendent of the Test Center concerned to which the candidate is allotted at least two days before the entrance test, during the office hours on production of print out of the application form, proof of payment either through TS/AP online/credit card or Debit Card and the registration number and other details. 8. Qualifying marks in TSPGLCET-2018: The qualifying percentage of marks in the Entrance Test is 25%. (i.e 30 marks out of 120 marks) There will be no qualifying marks for S.Cs & S.Ts for ranking. 9. T S PGLCET-2018 Results: a) Evaluation: Every care will be taken to avoid errors in evaluation, checking, scrutiny, tabulation and ranking. Hence, request for re-totaling or revaluation will not be entertained. b) Ranking: The Candidates will be ranked as per the total marks obtained in the Entrance Test. If there is a tie in total marks, the marks obtained in Part-A of Entrance Test will be considered for awarding the rank. If the tie persists they may be bracketed together for the purpose of ranking and seniority in age may be considered at the time of admission. c) Rank obtained in PGLCET-2018 is valid for admission into LL.M. Courses, as the case may be, for the academic year 2018-2019 only. d) Rank Card will not be sent by post. 10. The online answer scripts of candidates taking the TSPGLCET-2018 examination will be preserved for 6 months from date of announcement of TSPGLCET-2018 results. 11. The conduct of TSPGLCET-2018 is subject to orders and instructions issued by the Government of Telangana., TSCHE and University concerned from time to time. 12. All disputes arising out of any matter concerning TSPGLCET-2018 shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the T S / A.P. High Court only. In such disputes, only Convener, T S PGLCET-2018 & Secretary, TSCHE Hyderabad can be impleaded as respondents. 13. Mode of Entrance Test : a) A Single entrance test is conducted for all the courses of LL.M It is of 90 minutes duration and consists of 120 questions of 1 mark each. Part-A consists of 40 questions (Jurisprudence 20, Constitutional Law 20; Total 40 questions of 1 mark each); and Part -B consists of 80 questions (public International Law 16,Mercantile Law 16, Labour Law 16, Crimes and Torts 16, and IPR & Other Laws. 16). Syllabus and model paper is given in Annexure-I 14. Hall Ticket is not transferable. Any tampering of Hall Ticket will automatically lead to the disqualification from appearing at the test and liable for prosecution. 15. The candidate will not be allowed into the examination hall after 11-00 a.m. i.e. after the commencement of the Test. 16. Candidates must remain seated in their allotted places till the completion of the Examination. In no case they will be allowed to leave the examination hall till the end of the examination. 17. The online question paper shall consist of 120 multiple choice type questions in two different parts with four responses given to each question out of which only one response is correct for the given question. 18. There is no negative mark for incorrect answers. 19. Admissions : The Admission into LL.M. Course (Regular and Self financing) offered by different Universities (including the concerned affiliated colleges) will be made basing on the TSPGLCET-2018 Rank and also as per Rules and Regulations of TSPGLCET.
