Demonstrator & Presenter : Conducted by : Ms. Madhurima House In charge : Patel House Agenda : 1) To wish students a happy and prosperous new year. 2) To discuss the New Year Resolutions. Participants : Ms. Madhurima and students of grades I to XI.

Highlights of assembly : the House In charge emphasizing on the Importance of New Year Resolutions. Students from various classes were called on the stage to share their new year resolutions. News for the day was covered (national, international and sports). Birthday Buddies were called on the stage and were greeted with b'day cards & sweets. Best dressed student were appreciated. Outcome : The entire School participated in it and enjoyed the assembly.

ALERT TODAY-ALIVE TOMORROW In the first Global Status Report on Road Safety, the World Health Organization (WHO) identified road Road Safety is an important education for people of all ages. From crossing the road, to cycling to driving a four wheeler everyone should know the rules of the road. In order to spread awareness in the society Bharati School, Surya Nagar from 11 th to 16 th January 2016. The theme was -Time f Various activities were conducted in the school to spread the awareness in the society towards this cause through students, teachers and drivers. Slogan writing Competition The basic tenets of road safety start riting competition was conducted on 14 th January 2016. Students of Grade IX and X participated spiritedly in the event. They came up with many creative and innovative slogans as Accidents bring tears, Safety brings cheers Drive safely,someone is waiting for you. Safety is the key, its up to you &me. Hug your kids at home, but belt them in the car. Donate blood but not on road. Chase red meet the dead, endure yellow be gentle fellow, enjoy green live with sheen. Workshop for Drivers An interactive workshop for the Bus Drivers of the school was conducted on 12 Jan 2016, which emphasized that driving the school bus is not the only task required of school bus drivers. Before driving the school bus, the driver is morally responsible for conducting a physical check of the vehicle under him, to ensure that all systems meet the required safety norms for its proper operation. Their responsibilities towards the students and society were also discussed. Fitness check-up of all the vehicles in the school ehicles were assessed (From 11th to 16 th Jan) for their roadworthiness and overall condition The condition of the body of the vehicle, engine, steering, brakes, lights and other components were thoroughly checked to ensure their compliance with the MV Act and the Road Safety regulations.

Date & Venue : SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON A special National Youth Day12 th January 2016 in VBS assembly ground by class VI-D students at 8:00 am. Demonstrator & Presenter : Conducted by Presented by Agenda : : Ms. Satinder Bhatia : Class VI-D students 1) To commemorate the birthday of Swami Vivekananda, the maker of modern India. 2) To encourage and inspire the youths of India. Participants : Mrs. Satinder Bhatia & VI-D students Highlights of assembly : Good anchoring by students. emphasized the philosophies, teachings and ideas of the Swami Vivekananda. A Motivational poem for Indian Youth was recited by a student. A presentation on inspirational quotes by Swami Vivekananda was done by students. News for the day was covered (national, international and sports). Students were made familiar with four French words. Quiz questions based on current affairs were asked. Quiz winners were applauded. Birthday celebrations were held and Birthday buddies were presents with beautiful Greeting Cards. Best dressed student were appreciated. Outcome : Entire class participated in the assembly (directly or indirectly) enhancing their teamwork and coordination, thus achieving the purpose of the assembly. Vidya Bharati School(Physics lab ) A workshop was organised on 20 January,2016 in Physics lab in Vidya Bharati School. The agenda was planned and prepared by the Resource Person - Ms. Jayashree Mehta. Time : 11.15 am 12.15 pm. Trainer : Ms. Jayashree Mehta Agenda: Self Awareness KEY POINTS : 1. Opening an introduction about self awareness. 2. Self assessment 3. 3 influencing factors-personality make up, upbringing and our perception. 4. Result oriented actions are specific, immediate and positive. 5. Out of all, positive approach is the most important. WORKSHOP: There were around 35 teachers who participated in the workshop. There was an interactive session where participants were asked to give their responses. Participants shared their experiences about controlling students in the class, need for moral values and changing education system. The point emphasized self introspection is important to understand our thoughts and actions. Vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Pooja Kalra. Outcomes of the workshop: 1. Need for self assessment. 2. Control self than controlling others is important. 3. Bring positivity in everything we do. Recommendations by the participants: 1. To conduct more such workshops.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON HEROISM-SWACH BHARAT ABHIYAN-AAJ KE HERO Date & Venue: A special assembly was conducted on on 19 th January 2016 in Vidya Bharati School assembly ground by students of class IX C at 8:00 am. Demonstrator & Presenter: Conducted by : Mrs. Monika Khanna Presented by : Class IX-C students Agenda: 1) To convey the message of Swach Bharat Abhiyan. 2) To encourage students for clean surroundings. Participants: Mrs. Monika Khanna & IX-C students Highlights of assembly: Good anchoring by students, Pictures of National Heroes shown. To change students attitudes towards sanitation and create awareness about the same. News for the day was covered (national, international and sports). Birthday Celebration Best dressed student were appreciated. Outcome: The entire class participated in the assembly (directly or indirectly) enhancing their teamwork and coordination, thus achieving the purpose of the assembly.

EVERYDAY ENGLISH EXPRESSIONS IN CLASS ROOM organized for teachers from grade Nursery -VIII on 21 Jan, 2016. It was conducted by Ms. Seema Sinha. The workshop aimed at using English expression in class room on everyday basis enhancing the conversational skills as well as public speaking abilities. The Resource person came prepared with an eye-catching PPT on the given theme and used the same in a meticulous manner. She articulated her thoughts in an extremely confident manner with loads of poise. She earned rave reviews and compliments from her spell bound teachers. The outstanding performances provided evidence to the fact that the enjoyable activity was an extremely successful one. Sharing a vision Enactment of activity Immersed in task at hand

Lesson planning is a vital component of the teaching-learning process. Proper classroom planning will keep teachers organized and on track while teaching. Thus allowing them to teach more, help students reach objectives more easily and manage less. In order to maximize the outcome of Teaching-Learning process a Workshop on Revised was organized at Vidya Bharati School on 16 th January 2016. The resource person Ms Seema had thrown a light on how Bloom's Taxonomy helps a teacher to craft lessons that lead students to refine their thinking. The aim was to equip the teachers to use verbs aligned to Bloom's Taxonomy to create discussion questions and lesson plans that ensure the students' thinking progresses to higher levels. She carried on the discussion through the six levels in the taxonomy effectively The workshop was truly informative and interactive. The resource person answered the questions with her clear cut vision and expressive thoughts. The workshop was further made resounding by the precious inputs given by our Principal, Ms Meenakshi Zarabi. The workshop was extremely effective in making everyone realize that it is supremely important that we as educators should help the students to become critical thinkers. Building on knowledge and helping kids begin to apply, analyze, synthesize, and evaluate are the key elements to help the students grow and prosper in school and beyond. SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION Date and venue- students of Patel house of various classes at 8:30 a.m. Demonstrator and Presenter- Conducted by- Ms. Madhurima (overall In-charge) Presented by- Students of Patel House - classes IX and X Agenda- To celebrate the spirit of Republic Day To highlight the challenges of Republic Day To provide solutions to the young generation so as to enable them to face the challenges ahead Participants- Selected students of Patel House classes IX and X Highlights of the assembly Good anchoring by students Powerful script Conveyed the message through dance performances Highlighted not only the challenges but provided with the solutions as well Accentuating the steps which can be taken for facing challenges Outcome Patel House students participated in the assembly thus enhancing team spirit, coordination thereby achieving the very purpose of the assembly. Students came to know the challenges ahead and the feasible solutions to be followed by the next generation.

INTRA-CLASS QUIZ COMPETITION DATE: Monday, January 25, 2016 A quiz is a mind sport in which the players (as individuals or in teams) attempt to answer questions correctly. It is a brief assessment used in education and similar fields to measure growth in knowledge, abilities and skills. Quiz on Constitution of India and its various parts give an overview, a glimpse of our administrative system, law and order etc. An Intra-class Quiz was organised on Monday, 25 th January, 2016 for the students from Grades IV at VidyaBharati School, Surya Nagar, to celebrate our 67 th Republic Day and present the true spirit of the Independence. Students of all the sections of Grade- IV participated in the quiz with enthusiasm and excitement. The quiz was enjoyed by all; it also added value by enhancing the knowledge of our young minds. All the winners were rewarded for their wonderful performance. JAI BHARAT

REBUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION Date and venue- VBS celebrated the 67th Republic Day, with great patriotism with the teaching staff. The celebration began with the hoisting of national flag in the assembly ground by the General Manager and the teachers at 8:30 a.m. Demonstrator and Presenter- Conducted by- Ms. Seema Sareen (overall In-charge) Presented by- Ms Reena Mahant, Ms Ashoo Mittal, Ms Jaya Sharma, Ms Neeta Sharma. Agenda- The teachers re-iterated the sentiment- custodians of the values enshrined in our Constitution and promise to abide by them. Participants- Ms. Seema Sareen Ms. Reena Mahant& Ms. Pooja Kalra Ms. Jaya Sharma & Ms. Ashoo Mittal Mr. Ajit Kr. Verma Mr. Manish Ms. Neeta Mr. Anil Highlights of the Day Passionate presentation created an aura of patriotism. Rangoli with tri-colour was made by the teachers. The scintillating performance of the teachers was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The National flag was hoisted by Shri Narender Singh (General Manager) Thereafter, national anthem was sung by the teachers. Outcome Emphasizing patriotic fervor the 67th Republic Day, the day was celebrated on 26 January, 2016 with much zeal and spirit, by hoisting flag and remembering the works of our forefathers.
