Friday 9th November 2018 They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them. Robert Laurence Binyon The children at Yoxall have excelled in their knowledge of the first World War and on Friday, after school, we opened our doors for parents to view their hard work. In addition to all the work you can see displayed in these few photographs, on this page, the children were invited by the Royal British Legion and St Peters Church to take part in a poetry concert. You can view the winners in the announcement page. At next Friday s merit assembly there will be a presentation by the Royal British Legion. Enjoy the photographs.

MONDAY 12TH NOVEMBER KS1 Maths Workshop Parents welcome, meet in reception after registration. The workshop will last about 45 minutes TUESDAY 13TH NOVEMBER KS2 Maths Workshop Parents welcome, meet in reception after registration. The workshop will last about 45 minutes As you may already know, Friday 16th November is BBC Children in Need Day. Our school is excited to be joining in with others around the UK to participate in fundraising for this good cause. Children in Need help s our children to learn about the lives of disadvantaged children across the whole of the UK and how we can help This year Yoxall will be participating by holding a Pajamas Day and invite the children to come to school in their Pajama, for a donation of 1. We hope that you can help us make this a memorable event that raises as much money as possible to raise money for BBC Children in Need. Let s make a big difference to the lives of children in the UK. Thank you for your continued support. Yoxall says NO to bullying! Monday, 12th November 2018 Odd Socks Day! What is it? Most importantly, Odd Socks Day is designed to be fun! It s an opportunity for children to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique! There is no pressure on the children to wear the latest fashion or for parents to buy expensive costumes. All they have to do to take part is wear odd socks to school, it couldn t be simpler! Odd Socks day will take place on the first day of Anti Bullying Week, Monday 12th November 2018 to help raise awareness around anti-bullying.
