COOPERATIVE EDUCATION Our world-class Steinbright Career Development Center offers one of the nation s leading cooperative education programs. Through Drexel Co-op, you can explore career possibilities and earn up to 18 months of work experience before graduation by alternating periods of classroom study and full-time employment. Depending on your major, you can choose to participate in one, two, or three six-month co-ops. Our co-op program partners with more than 1,600 employers to offer positions in 32 states and 51 countries, providing the opportunity to work with brands such as Urban Outfitters, Marvel Comics, Google, and Boeing, as well as startups, nonprofits, and governmental organizations. Going on co-op gives you a chance to test-drive your career, which will give you a clear understanding of what you want to do. YOUR NEXT STEPS PREPARE If you re considering transferring to Drexel, here are the steps you should start to begin your transition: Transfer Admission Requirements: Drexel considers a number of criteria when determining admission. You must disclose on your application and subsequently submit official transcripts for every collegiate institution you have attended. If you have less than 24 college credits, Drexel will also ask for your high school transcript and SAT/ACT scores. Admission prerequisites can be found at drexel.edu/undergrad/apply/prereqs. Additional International Transfer Requirements: International students whose first language is not English are required to submit TOEFL or IELTS results unless they have successfully completed English Composition I and II at a regionally accredited U.S. institution of higher education. Credit Transfer: Drexel may grant credit for courses taken at other collegelevel institutions if we deem that they are substantially equivalent to courses in the corresponding curriculum at Drexel. Your academic department will create your official transfer credit evaulation document shortly after you have been admitted. Detailed information about credit transfer can be found at drexel.edu/undergrad/transfer/ credits. FINANCIAL AID Drexel offers competitive financial aid opportunities for transfer applicants, including transfer-specific scholarships. In the 2016 2017 academic year, the average scholarship and grant aid offered to transfer students was $20,444, including federal, state, and institutional aid. While you will be reviewed for scholarships during the admissions review process, we highly recommend filing the CSS PROFILE and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible to maximize your eligibility for support.
