TRADES AND APPRENTICESHIP These trades training programs are offered at the Salmon Arm Trades Facility on a rotating basis: Electrician 24-week certificate, Aug. 2014 Plumbing & Piping Trades 24-week certificate, Feb. 2015 Welder Foundation 24-week certificate, Aug. 2015 Residential Construction This 30-week program starts each February and provides students with the knowledge to seek employment as an apprentice carpenter in the construction industry. HEALTH AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT Graduates pursue careers in health and social development settings including hospital and community nursing, support workers for the elderly and disabled, providing health and social services through non-profit societies, and working with children.
