So many a new service activities were initiated in the 2014-2015. NSS unit has successfully completed a DistributingSwine flu medicine in our adopted schools. Awareness program was conducted on Lasik surgery.blood Donation Camp It was in the part of the birthday celebrations of hon ble chairman of Vignan Group, Dr. LavuRathaiah, conducted a mega Blood Donation campaign in the campus. Several projects continued and achieved distinction in their performance like Zonal level sports meet.apart from the regular events like Swatch Vignan drives, national festivals (Republic and Independence day), free medical check-up camps for teaching, non-teaching and students. BLOOD DONATION CAMP at VIGNAN UNIVERSITY Date: 28.07.2014 NSS unit of the Vignan s University organized a blood donation camp on 28th July, 2014 in the University premises as a part of 63 rd birthday celebrations of our beloved Dr. Lavu. Rathaiah, Chairman,Vignan Group of Institutions, Vadlamudi. NSS Program Officer Prof. K. V. Krishna Kishoreinagurated the camp at 09:30AM. The camp continued till 3.30 PM. Vice Chancellor Dr. M.S.C.Bose, RegistrarM.Raghunadhan, and Dean DET Dr. V. Madhusudhan Rao, visited the camp and congratulated the student donors and volunteers. They addressed on the purpose of blood donation, frequency of blood donation and precautions to be taken after donating the blood. NSS Program Officer Prof. K. V. Krishna Kishorevisited the camp and congratulated the student donors and volunteers.

Awareness Program on LASIK Surgery Date:09.09.2014 NSS Unit of Vignan s University organized an awareness program on LASIK Surgery in collaboration with Sankara Eye Hospital, Pedakakani in the Sravanthi Seminar Hall from 2:00PM to 4:00PM.Dr.Sk.Mastan & his team gave presentations on treatment of LASIK Surgery & explained the preliminary tests for LASIK Surgery. Around 200 students have attended this program & utilized this opportunity. NSS Program Officer Prof.K.V.Krishna Kishore & his team coordinated this program. SWATCH VIGNAN Date: 16.10.2014 As a part of NSS event VIGNAN s UNIVERSITY has conducted SWATCH VIGNAN on the campus, in this event all the NSS volunteers, NCC Cadets, all the faculty took the initiation to organize the occasion successfully. Vice Chancellor, Dr. Thangaraj, Registrar Commodore M. S. Raghunadhan, DEM Dr. V. Madhusudhan Rao, Chancellor, Dr. Rama Murthy Naidu and all HODs of Departments had participated very actively. On this occasion, they cleaned every academic block along with their surroundings. During this programme the NSS Program Officer Prof. K. V. Krishna Kishore said that this is the program completely planned and organized by the students under the guidance of their faculty. This was the second time that Vignan s University organized this Event. He stated that the event will be held once in a month in the University involving all the students of the University and staff. Later this programme would further extended outside the campus too. NSS Coordinator Mr. J. Sivasai and student volunteers coordinated this program. Cleaning the U Block surroundings

Zonal level sports meet Date: 03.01.2015 to 06.01.2015 As a part of NSS activities, we have been providing services to our adopted school, ZillaParishad High School(ZPHS), Vejandla for the past three years & helping them in all aspects (like helping academics for school students, infrastructure for school developing, health hygiene for school students etc.). Head Mistress of this school has requested us to sponsor the part of the expenses in organizing the Zonal level sports meet (Chebrolu, Chunduru, Amarthluru and Vemuru Mandal s) for school students at in their school from 03/01/2015 to 06/01/2015.Toarrange food (lunch+dinner) for participants.our Management has decided that preparation of food will be held at Junior college campus & arrangement of food will be held at University campus (i.e. at Pharmacy college shuttle court). Zonal level sports meet on 03.01.2015 to 06.01.2015 NSS Volunteers are Serve the food to Students and parents.

Swatch Vignan Date: 03.02.2015 The NSS Unit of Vignan s University organized SwatchVignanProgramme in University premises on July 30. Their main focus was on clearing the vicinity of the college canteen which was in a pitiable state with the help of the workers and the students. At the occasion, the chairman, Dr.LavuRathaiah, said that we all must remember the importance of proper hygiene. Cleanliness is a virtue that starts from self and reaches out. The main motive of this programme is to be responsible for keeping ourselves and the surroundings clean and the motivation for this should come from within and not without. Registrar Dr. M. S. Raghunathan& NSS Program Officer Prof. K. V. Krishna Kishore actively participated in this program with NSS team. Both urged the participants to put in their sincere efforts and not to execute it just to get photographs clicked or for boasting. NSS Program Officer & the Registrar appreciated NSS volunteers for executing the programme successfully. To clean the campus

Swine Flu Vaccine distributed to ZP High School students Date: 16.02.2015 NSS Unit of Vignan s University has distributed Swine Flu Vaccine (ARS ALB-30) to ZP High Schools Vejandla&Sangamjagarlamudi to a total strength of 2000 students. Mrs. Rama Devi, HM of Vejandla and Mr. Ravi Jagarlamudi, HM of Sangamjagarlamudi called the students to utilize the opportunity. Our NSS team had given awareness on Swine flu disease symptoms & preventions to avoid the disease to school students & also gave vaccine to students in their classes. We also informed HM s of both the schools to give vaccine continuously 3 days, 2 drops per day. All the school students & staff members of both schools have appreciated our NSS team for helping in all aspects. The NSS Faculty coordinatormr.p. VijayaBabu and Mr. J. Sivasai both are coordinating this entire program. And student volunteers have participated this program. 16.02.2015Vejendla and Sangamjagarlamudi 20.02.2015 in Veeranayakunipalem

Blood donation camp Date: 23.02.2015 Vice Chancellor Dr. C.Thangaraj, Registrar Dr.M.S. Raghunadhan, Dean E&M Dr. V. Madhusudhan Rao, visited the camp and congratulated the student donors and volunteers. They spoke regarding the purpose of blood donation, frequency of blood donation and precautions to take after donating the blood during that period. NTR Blood Bank, Guntur had organized this camp under the supervision of Dr. M.ChandraMouli. Students of University participated in this camp with enthusiasm for human kind and a nobel cause. 207 samples were donated to the needy people through this Blood Bank. So, it is of a great help for those who are in need of blood. Prof.K.V.Krishna Kishore, NSS Program officer appreciated & congratulated blood donors, student volunteers, all NSS staff coordinators who gave their full support to make this camp successful. Nutrition Materials distributed to Vignan s adopted Govt. school Date:09.03.2015 In continuation to previous year of Nutrition Materials distributed in Govt. schools for X class students at the time of SSC examination period. In this year also, NSS Unit of Vignan University distributed 120 kgs of 6 types of Nutrition materials (i.ebatani, senagalu, pesalu, alasandalu, verusengagullu& each one is 20kgs) to our adopted school ZPHS, Vejandla with our NSS student volunteers. This hygienic food is supplying to put the snacks for their X class students to prepare for SSC examinations effectively at Evening Times & Some more Nutrition materials will be provided by University management at the time of SSC exams to these school students. NSS student volunteers had participated in this program & NSS Program officer appreciated each student volunteer towards collection of this fund. NSS Unit of Vignan s University distributing 120 kgs of 6 types of Nutrition materials.

Medical test conducting to University Employees Date: 16.04.2015 NSS Unit of Vignan University & Finance Department, jointly organized a Medical Camp, in the Sravanthi Seminar Hall for the University employees (both Teaching & Non-Teaching) aged above 40 years in association with Thyrocare Testing Centre, Guntur. Director, DET, Dr. V. Madhusudhan Rao, Registrar Commodore M.S.Raghunadhan,NSS Program Officer, Prof.K.V.Krishna Kishore, & Finance Officer, R.Sambaiah inaugurated the program at 7:30am. The program continued till 11:00am. Medical Test namely Aarogyam 1.2 profile @ Rs.500/- contains 59 tests regarding Thyroid profile(3), Diabetic screen(2), Iron Deficiency Profile(3), Liver Profile(11), Lipid Profile(7), Renal Profile(5), Complete Hemogram(28). 92 members attended this program out of 137 staff to be attended in the University. Mr. Prasad & his team from Thyrocare services collected the blood samples about 5ml from each staff member. These samples shall be tested and reports will be sending to all the 92 members after 3 days. An amount of Rs.68,000/- has been sanctioned by the University for this program. Medical Camp in the Sravanthi Seminar Hall for the University employees (both Teaching & Non-Teaching).

Helping Hand to our staff member Date: 01.05.2015 NSS Unit of Vignan s University collected the fund Rs.1, 34,800 /- from teaching and no-teaching of all departments through NSS Faculty coordinators of respective departments and donated to Mr. V. D. Srinivasarao from the hands of our beloved chairman Dr.LavuRathiah sir on 01/05/2015Said by NSS program officer Prof. K. V. Krishna Kishore. NSS Unit prays and Wishes for his early recovery. NSS program officer thanked all NSS faculty coordinators of respective departments for motivating their staff in donating. The contributions from the respective departments as fallows.
