Programs: Biotechnology (Bio), Bioinformatics (BI), Civil Engineering (CE) Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Engineering Physics (EP), and Mechanical Engineering (Mech). (MERIT BASED ON ACTUAL MARKS IN JEE (MAIN) 2018*) OR (MERIT BASED ON 10+2 MARKS IN SPECIFIED SUBJECTS*) OR (SAT SCORES applicable only for NRI/International students) *subject to minimum 60% marks in specified subjects in 10+2 /equivalent examination, normalized for various boards IMPORTANT: FOUR STEPS PROCESS Step-1. Apply online or fill hard copy of application purchased from office/sale point/counselors. Candidates can opt for admissions merit based on (i) JEE main-2018 marks or (ii) Marks in 10+2 or equivalent exam or (iii) SAT based admissions (only for NRI/International students). Step-2. Step-3. Step-4. Provide actual marks obtained in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2018 within 5 days of declaration of results, and/or 10+2 or equivalent examination marks and/or SAT Score, once the results are announced, but before dates specified in this document. Merit lists shall be announced: Based on actual marks in paper -1 of JEE (Main) 2018. Or Based on 10+2 marks percentage marks (specified subjects), duly normalized amongst various school boards in India. Or SAT Score (For NRI/International Candidates only) In all cases: The seats shall be allotted based on choice of program filled by candidate at application stage and merit. More than one round of admission may be held, as required. Payment of fee within 10 days of admission offer, document verification, registration and commencement of classes by 3 rd week of July 2018 (Tentative).

It admitted its first batch of students in B.Tech, MBA and Ph.D. programs in 2016. Bennett University is located in Greater Noida, less than an hour s drive from South Delhi. Industry-Centric Curriculum Entrepreneurial Thinking Life and Career Ready Students GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: Please note the following carefully, before filling the application form / applying online: (e) (f) (g) Merely filling an application form does not entitle a candidate for admission. The admission is purely merit based. The University reserves the right to cancel/revoke its offer and/or acceptance of provisional admission at any point in time No refund of application fee is allowed in any condition, whatsoever. Candidate cannot claim the seat, merely because it is available. University Admission Committee shall decide the cut offs for merit in various categories and same shall be final. Candidate must fulfill the other eligibility criteria as laid down in succeeding paragraphs, if he/she wishes to be considered for admission. Non- submission of application form or JEE main score or 10+2/equivalent scores or SAT scores to the University, as applicable, before due dates, shall debar a candidate from being considered for merit. The University does not admit students based on JEE central counseling by JOSSA/CBSE. For NRI/ International Category candidates (as defined in document below) in addition to marks in 10+2/equivalent examination, minimum SAT scores of 1750/2400 (old) or 1250/1600 (New) is required, besides other eligibility criteria. (h) All candidates shall be communicated guidelines, results other details including offer letters through e-mail. Candidates are advised to check their SPAM or JUNK folder regularly and white-list the following email id : admissions@bennett.edu.in. Please note that this is the only official mail ID of the University, for all communications related to admissions.

(i) (j) Merit Scholarships are available in all programs, details of which shall be provided in admission offer letters. Provision exists for obtaining Honors and Minor degrees subject to doing specified additional courses as per the Rules of the programs. PROGRAMS AND SEATS ON OFFER: The tentative number of seats for Academic Session 2018-19 is as given in the table below: JEE (Main- 2018) $ Marks of 10+2# Biotechnology(Bio) - Yes 30 Bioinformatics (BI)@ - Yes 30 Civil Engineering (CE) Yes Yes 30 Computer Science Engineering (CSE) Yes Yes 180 Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) Yes Yes 60 Engineering Physics (EP) Yes Yes 30 Mechanical Engineering (Mech) Yes Yes 60 Total 420 Total ## $ The number of seats under JEE and 10+2 seats based admissions may vary and interchanged, depending upon academic profile of the candidates. # 25% seats shall be available under this category, subject to candidates meeting the minimum cut off marks, decided by admission committee of the University $# In case the seats remain unfilled in one category, such seats shall be available for admission in other categories. # # includes SC/ST, General category AND 2 seats for Kashmiri Migrants;. Additional 15% supernumerary seats are available for NRI/International category students. @ Admission to Biotechnology, Bioinformatics programs shall be taken based on merit of percentage of marks in 10+2/equivalent examination only, as per subjects specified below. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: COMMON TO ALL PROGRAMS. 1. Criteria of Number of subjects in 10+2 Exams. 10+2 or its equivalent examination must be passed with minimum 5 subjects (equivalence as defined by JEE Board). Candidates with 4 subjects in 10+2 class are not eligible. 2. Criteria of minimum Educational Qualification and Year of Passing. The 10+2 examination must be passed in years 2016 or 2017 or 2018. All candidates must produce the original copies of results latest by 14 Aug 2018. 3. Criteria of Subjects and Marks in 10+2 Exams. For B.Tech. Programs other than Biotechnology (Bio) /Bioinformatics (BI). The candidate must obtain minimum of 60% aggregate marks in three subjects to include: (i) Physics, and Mathematics (Compulsory) and, (ii) One subject amongst Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Informatics Practices and Multimedia & Web Technology. For B.Tech. Bio /BI programs. The candidate must obtain minimum of 60% aggregate marks in three subjects to include: (i) Physics, and Biology/Biotechnology (Compulsory) and (ii) one subject amongst Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Informatics Practices and Multimedia & Web Technology. Candidates who are offered provisional admission based on declared scores in the application, will be required to produce proof of having passed the qualifying

examination i.e. (10+2 or equivalent) to the University authorities, during document inspection at the time of registration (3 rd week of July), failing which, such provisional admission will stand withdrawn. (e) If the results of 10+2 examinations are likely to be delayed beyond the date of registration (3 rd week of July), such candidates are advised to seek admission next year. No representations for extension of dates for verification of documents shall be entertained. Any wrong declaration of marks /Scores, which affects the merit/provide undue advantage, shall lead to disqualification of the candidate and withdrawal of admission. 4. Criteria for Date of Birth Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 01 October 1997 (Date of Birth as recorded in the High School/Secondary Education Board/University Certificate only will be taken as authentic) are only eligible to apply for admission. 5. Eligibility conditions for IB/Cambridge qualified Candidates. (All candidates shall be required to obtain the 10+2 equivalence certificate from AIU before 14 Aug, 2018). Failure to do so may lead to cancellation of admission. For IB Board (i) (ii) (iii) (iv) Student should have secured a minimum of 26 points/credits. Student should have passed minimum of three subjects at Higher Level (HL) and three at Standard Level (SL). Mathematics and Physics are mandatory subjects for B.Tech, other than Bio/BI programs, and same should have been passed at Higher Level (HL) only. Physics and Biology/Biotechnology are mandatory subjects for B.Tech in Bio/BI programs and same should have been passed at Higher Level (HL) only. For Cambridge International Examinations (IGCSE) (i) Percentage Uniform Marks shall be similar to 10+2 conditions of CBSE, i.e 60% aggregate in three subjects as listed in Para 3 above. (ii) (iii) (iv) Should have passed minimum 5 subjects at O level including English, and minimum 2 subjects at A level. These are mandatory to obtain equivalence certificate from AIU. Mathematics and Physics are mandatory subjects for B.Tech. Programs other than BI/Bio. Physics and Biotech/Biology are mandatory subjects for Bio/BI programs 6. Conditions to be eligible for NRI/International Students Quota NRI/PIO/OCI (i) (ii) (iii) (iv) PIO (Person of Indian Origin). A person who or whose any of ancestors were Indian national and who is presently holding another country s citizenship/ nationality i.e. he/she is holding foreign passport. OCI (Overseas Citizen of India). A person registered as Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholder under section 7A of the Citizenship Act, 1955. NRI shall be a student, whose mother or father, first degree relation including the real brother and sister or grandparents both paternal and maternal are NRIs. This quota may also be availed by wards of NRI persons, who should be the nearest relation to include real brother and sister of father and mother i.e. real uncle and real aunt, first degree-paternal and maternal cousins. However, such persons, who have looked after such student as the guardian, need to produce an evidence to the effect, along with an affidavit signed by authorities in country where such person is residing.

(v) NRI, in this context shall imply an Indian Citizen who stays abroad for employment/carrying on business or vocation outside India or stays abroad under circumstances indicating an intention for an uncertain duration of stay abroad. International Student All students who are foreign country pass port holders and have passed their 10+2 exams from a foreign board. 7. Routes to Admission: Candidates who fulfill the eligibility as above, shall be required to have one of the following routes for admissions, which are explained subsequently, in the document JEE Main 2018 marks merit. 10+2 Exams/ IB/Cambridge or equivalent exams scores merit. SAT Exams merit for NRI/International Students 8. General Instructions on conditions of Eligibility Candidates must produce certificate of proof of the above conditions at the time of registration (3 rd week of July 2018) for the respective program failing which, they will be disqualified and provisional admission shall be cancelled. Admission granted to student may be revoked for noncompliance/not meeting the admission criteria/ being found ineligible, even if same is detected at a later date. All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/ documents of the candidates. The decision of the Admission Committee of the University regarding the eligibility of any applicant shall be final. APPLICATION PROCESS 9. How to obtain and Fill the Application Form: The students may obtain and fill the application forms in any of the following ways. Obtain application form and brochure from the University office by cash payment of Rs.1000/-or sending a bank draft of Rs. 1000/- favoring Bennett University, payable at Noida/Greater Noida. Fill the application form and affix a recent colored photograph at appropriate place. Post the application on the below mentioned address. Apply on line using net banking/credit/debit card at https://www.bennett.edu.in/admission/programs/b-tech/. There is a separate on-line application form available for the NRI/International student s, which must be filled and accompanied by a sponsor letter (Format attached). The form can be accessed through University web site - www.bennett.edu.in or at direct link https://www.bennett.edu.in/admission/programs/b-tech/. Follow the guidelines thereafter. 10. Cost of Form: Rs 1000/- 11. Where to send. The completed Application Form, (only when hard copy purchased), must be sent to the following address: Admission Section Bennett University Office, Plot No s 8-11, Tech Zone II, Near Dabra Village. Greater Noida- 201310, Uttar Pradesh, India. 12. Important to note before submission of Application Form. Candidates who procure the brochure and application form after payment of Rs 1000/-, are not required to make any further payment, while submitting the application form. Knowing the Application Status: Those candidates who apply online shall receive a unique application No and an e-mail acknowledging the receipt. For those applying through hard copy, will receive an email and registration details, when the form is uploaded on the ERP system. The candidates are required to view the web site

(e) frequently, for the latest information and also required to take the necessary action as per the information hosted on the website from time to time Candidates are also advised to keep the original receipt of the Speed Post / Registered Post issued by the post office and the photocopy of the filled in Application Form. All issues regarding non- receipt of application form by the University, must be resolved by the candidate with admission section of the University, before declaration of merit. No appeals thereafter are acceptable. University shall not be responsible for non- receipt of application at the admission office. Photocopies of 10th, 12th standard mark sheets, along with JEE score card, (if results have been announced) must be uploaded on the online form or sent along with the application forms. PROCESS FOR ADMISSION: 13. Submission of application/registration of candidature. Registration of candidature implies filling online application or sending the hard copy of purchased application form and providing the marks/scores as required : The candidate may fill the application form without waiting for the results of JEE (Main) 2018, 10+2 examinations or SAT results. IB/IGCSE students, who fulfill the required eligibility criteria, may also fill the form of the University, based on predicted scores (provided by counselor only, directly to University at email ID admissions@bennett.edu.in referring to program and application number). It is essential for the candidate to provide the marks of JEE and 10+2 or equivalent examination to the University immediately, after declaration of results. The marks may be (i) filled online or (ii) candidate may provide score cards to the admission office before the date mentioned in table below. Non- Compliance shall be at candidate s risk and no claim can be made for consideration for merit. Further, the candidate has to produce the mark sheet of 10+2 exam results at the time of document verification during registration process (3 rd week of July2018). MERIT LISTS, AND ADMISSION OFFERS/ALLOCATION OF SEATS 14. Eligibility for Merit Candidates, shall be considered for meriting process of respective program, only after they meet all of the following criteria: (e) Those, who apply in the prescribed application form / apply online. Those, whose applications are found valid. The applications are received before the due date. Those, who fulfill the eligibility criteria, Those who provide the JEE score, and/or 10+2 scores and/ or SAT Scores as applicable to the University. 15. Drawing the Merit Lists (JEE Based admissions) All Candidates shall be allowed to prioritize choices amongst the programs at the application stage itself. A candidate, who initially does not get the choice program in the first list, shall have an option of being up graded as per the merit and priority exercised in the subsequent lists. Seats in the programs shall be allotted on the basis of preferences indicated in the application form strictly in order of merit. The program wise merit, amongst applications received shall be drawn based on the actual marks scored by the candidate in JEE (Main) 2018. JEE marks in any category or state etc. shall not be taken into account.

(e) (f) (g) The merit list for SC/ST candidates/kashmiri Migrant candidates shall be made based on the marks which shall be 10 % marks below the lowest marks, on which general category candidates are admitted. More than one list may be announced, as required as per schedule in table below. Seats, if not filled due to applicants not meeting the minimum cut off criteria, as decided by the admission committee of the University, may be transferred to the 10+2 Exam based admission category. 16. Drawing of Merit Lists (10+2/equivalent Exam based admissions-indian Boards) (e) The merit shall be drawn following the procedure at 15 to, similar to JEE based admissions explained above, except that 10+2 aggregate score in 3 subjects (as explained in eligibility) shall be used instead of JEE score. 10+2 marks percentage, shall be duly normalized amongst various school boards, as per available percentile data. Candidate cannot claim the seat, merely because it is available, in case he/she does not meet the minimum cut off marks decided by the University Admission Committee for this category of seats. Seats, if not filled due to applicants not meeting the minimum cut off criteria, may be transferred to the JEE based admission category. The merit list for SC/ST candidates/kashmiri migrant candidates shall be made based on the marks which shall be 10 % marks below the lowest marks on which general category candidates are admitted. 17. Drawing of Merit Lists- IB/Cambridge candidates (JEE or Equivalent Exams to 10+2) IB/Cambridge candidates, who may take JEE Examinations, shall be merited as per procedure explained in 15 above. IB/Cambridge candidates, who have not taken JEE examinations; the merit shall be drawn following procedure explained at Para 16 above, except that 10+2 aggregate score (as explained in eligibility criteria) shall be replaced by equivalent credits/ scores, based on percentile normalization with Indian Boards. 18. NRI/ International Category. Candidates wishing to take admission under this category must meet the definition as given Para 6 above. SAT exam is mandatory to apply under this category. The candidates opting for this mode of admission are also required to provide 10+2 or equivalent scores after filling the application, along with SAT scores. Merit shall be drawn based on the SAT scores, subject to fulfilling eligibility criteria as indicated in Para 3 above for Indian board students and Para 5 for IB/CIE candidates. 19.
