2. Key Skills IRECOOP Emilia-Romagna is the vocational training centre created in 1979 by Confcooperative Emilia- Romagna to meet the training needs of the regional cooperative system. IRECOOP offers a wide range of training programmes designed to meet the needs of members, directors, managers and employees of cooperatives regionally. IRECOOP s mission is: 1. To anticipate, forecast and match the skills demand and supply in the local labour market; 2. To develop and disseminate the co-operative culture; 3. To promote co-operative entrepreneurship and solidarity as well as social responsibility values. In line with cooperative principles, IRECOOP activities are also addressed to the most vulnerable sectors of society. Particular attention is paid to the training needs of unemployed, disadvantaged people and people with special needs: particularly young people, immigrants, people with disabilities and prisoners. IRECOOP dhas been developing hundreds of learning, training and work opportunities to co-operative enterprises, the majority of which are social co-operatives: enterprises specialized in the provision of social services or in the reintegration, through work, of disadvantaged and marginalized people. Irecoop s mission translates into activities in four main areas: Education and Training training, refresher and specialization courses; vocational training; vocational guidance. Co-operative Education - in primary and secondary schools; Tailored training activities - for co-operatives operating in the fields of agribusiness, social and heath services, banking, logistics, tourism and culture, green economy. Research - on co-operative skills need. Transnational projects participation in European Projects, organisation of workshops on internationalization opportunities, study visits abroad for co-operative managers. In particular, IRECOOP helps co-operative enterprises to set up and manage transnational projects on different social, health, work, culture, organizational innovation related topics. Furthermore IRECOOP sets up specific and targeted training interventions addressed to co-operative enterprises to train the internal staffs on the access to European Funds. IRECOOP is accredited by Emilia-Romagna Region for Life-long learning and Superior Education (D.G.R. n. 530/06).

4. Organization Irecoop ER counts on a regional headquarter in Bologna and 9 branches at local level (Bologna, Parma, Reggio Emilia, Ferrara, Modena, Ravenna, Piacenza, Rimini, Forlì-Cesena). The staff is composed of 63 dedicated individuals, whose expertise contributes towards the daily management, promotional activities and training services provided. Irecoop integrates its internal staff with qualified external professionals included in its relational network, to create multidisciplinary team able to meet the needs of each specific project and training activity. Curriculum International Projects Since 1991 Irecoop has been participating in European Projects and projects financed by the European Structural Funds, both as applicant and as partner organization.
