Program Name M.Div. Goal 1 MDiv graduates will serve in substantive ministry positions. Goal 2 MDiv graduates will holistically reflect (orthodoxy, orthopraxy, orthopathy) on their life and ministry. Goal 3 MDiv graduates will continue to grow as disciples as they disciple others. Outcome 1 Graduates of the MTS program will be able to produce graduate level biblical and theological reflection from an Apostolic Pentecostal tradition that is in conversation with the context of broader Christianity. Student need to be grounded in the Apostolic Pentecostal tradition while expanding their knowledge of Christian history and their interaction with other Christian traditions. Research Paper for HT 503 The Story of Christianity. 80% or more of students will score 4 or higher on Analysis of Other Christian Traditions. 100% of MDiv students because they all take Story of Christianity Research Paper for Modern Pentecostal Movements. 80% of students will score 4 or higher on Analysis of the Apostolic Pentecostal Tradition. 100% of MDiv students because they all take Modern Pentecostal Movements. Outcome 2 Graduates of the M.Div. program will engage with diverse contexts in which ministry occurs using multiple theoretical perspectives. Graduates need to be prepared to effectively engage the diverse groups of people and ideas that they encounter in ministry. Studying various perspectives will better prepare them for the situations in which they find themselves. Outcome 3 Graduates of the M.Div. program will develop in the practice of ongoing Spiritual Formation. Graduates need to maintain their own spiritual health and development in order to effectively minister to others. Outcome 4 Graduates of the M.Div. program will practice a breadth of pastoral competencies in accordance with the nature of the student s calling. Graduates need practical experience to better equip them for current and future ministry. Outcome 5 Graduates of the M.Div. program will conduct research in pastoral ministry. Since UGST courses cover a broad range of knowledge, students will benefit from gaining more perspective in an area of focus. PT 590: Research Methods for Practical Theology Research Proposal and IRB Proposal Rubrics 80% or more of students will earn a mean rating of Meets Expectations or better on rubrics for both projects All MDiv students (except for MDiv Bible Concentration students) PT 621 Introduction to Pastoral Care Paper Literature review and analysis rubric items 80% or more of students will earn a mean rating of Meets Expectations or better on the rubric. 100% of all MDiv graduating students Alumni Survey questions related to research after graduation 70% or more of students will score a mean of 4 or higher on the combined scale. What stakeholders provided input on your program goals and learning outcomes? If none, what is your plan for seeking stakeholder input in the future? All faculty worked together on the first outcome. The Practical Theology faculty provided a great deal of input on the remaining outcomes since they teach and administer this program. 6
