Flexible Strategies for Your Human Resource Needs Whether you are looking for an international intern with scientific or technical skills or strategizing to build and diversify your research team, IAESTE United States programs can fit your business needs: We provide screening and placement Let IAESTE United States locate and place a highly qualified international intern for your company or institution through the global IAESTE network. IAESTE interns come to your workplace with solid technical training and intercultural know-how. Have you already identified an intern from abroad? If so, IAESTE United States can provide the necessary support and sponsorship for a J-1 visa application. Domestic recruiting made easy If your company is interested in networking with our U.S. educated engineering and science students, you have options as well. From Corporate Partnership to exhibiting at our annual Global Opportunities Fair, we can complement your recruiting efforts. The IAESTE United States Advantage: Broadens your internship pool to include strong global technical students without broadening your administrative burden Increases global and intercultural awareness among your staff Builds connections to international companies, universities, and professionals Facilitates your evaluation of international candidates to hire at an overseas affiliate office Enables U.S. students to intern abroad through our reciprocal exchange program Allows you to recruit globally-skilled domestic students through IAESTE United States National Conference and Corporate Partnership opportunities Provides the competitive edge that comes with training future science and technical leaders who can advance your company s goals globally

IAESTE United States Placement Service IAESTE United States employs its network of more than 80 international counterparts and annual applicant pool of 30,000 students to locate highly qualified technical or scientific interns to meet your company s needs. In addition, for each international intern you host, one U.S. student is able to intern abroad through our reciprocal program. If you are looking for an intern that can combine his or her international background with a technical curriculum to benefit your company or research team, let us find that intern for you! The industries that we serve include: architecture, biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, physics, and beyond! Complete an Offer of Training form detailing the requirements of your internship position which will help us find the right student for you. IAESTE United States will take care of the participant search, visa administration, insurance, and logistics. For additional information and an Offer of Training form, please visit www.iaesteunitedstates.org. The Local Committee Difference IAESTE Local Committees are student-led groups located at more than 25 of the nation s top technical universities and colleges. The student members provide several services for your intern, including: airport pick-up, locating housing, Social Security card application assistance, cultural activities, and more. If there is a Local Committee in your area, you can take advantage of these benefits and focus solely on the internship. For a list of participating universities, visit www.iaesteunitedstates.org.

The IAESTE United States Visa Authorization Service If you have already identified an international intern, IAESTE United States provides the necessary paperwork to sponsor the participant on the J-1 intern visa. The service provides: Sponsorship of the intern from three weeks to 12 months Health insurance and visa administration provided for the program Expert guidance to navigate and comply with U.S. Department of State requirements A network of international interns with whom your intern can be in touch for conferences and other opportunities to share the American cultural experience Why IAESTE United States internships? Lynntech, Inc. has participated in the IAESTE program for two years. We have found it very easy to participate because of the professional manner the organization has in handling all information, processes, and procedures. Each intern is provided an opportunity to have an expanded learning experience working in the United States. But even more than what they learn from us, we learn from them, not only technically, but culturally. - Karen Pavlinski, Human Resources Manager, Lynntech, Inc. This letter is to express my professional satisfaction with the activities of [our intern]... [She] was exceptionally diligent and careful in her research. Her productivity, with respect to quality as well as quantity, was also outstanding... Based on her performance this summer, I would not hesitate to offer her a position in my graduate research program. - James H. Adair, Director, Particulate Materials Center, Pennsylvania State University

Corporate Partnership IAESTE United States offers career-building opportunities to the best and brightest at the nation s top technical universities. Serving as a training ground for tomorrow s global technical leaders, we provide our Corporate Partners access to these exceptional students. Our Corporate Partners build a positive company image and name recognition among an informed technical audience. In addition, they also receive tangible benefits such as targeted recruiting and discounted advertising opportunities. For additional information on how to become a Corporate Partner, contact iaeste@aipt.org or visit www.iaesteunitedstates.org. I ve come to realize that it takes a special person to decide to leave their home country and culture for a year and take the risk required to work abroad with people you ve never met. The first year we took one intern, the next year two, the third year four, and this year we are taking six. Needless to say we are quite pleased with the program and the benefit it provides to our business. - Richard Sheridan, President and CEO, Menlo Innovations Global Opportunities Fair For our 10th annual National Conference, we have planned even more exciting opportunities for companies to interface with student members! The IAESTE United States National Conference will take place February 7-10, 2008 in Baltimore, MD and will bring together more than 200 of the nation s future technical leaders that make up our Local Committees. The Global Opportunities Fair will be held on Friday, February 8, 2008 and is your opportunity to network with and recruit from our student members. To register and exhibit at the Global Opportunities Fair, visit www.iaestenatlconf.org.
