Login to GradeCam To login to GradeCam link to: https://insight.gradecam.com/login. Perry employees can also login to gradecam off of Perry s Staff page (http://perrylocal.org/staff-intranet/). Resetting Password Your GradeCam account is managed through Perry s Tech Department. If you do not remember your password you can reset it by choosing reset your password from the login screen. Follow the prompts to reset your password. *Resetting your password will work only for accounts created by Perry Local s Tech Department. Connecting the Camera Connect the camera to a USB port on your computer. Install the GradeCam plugin if necessary. The image below will appear if your GradeCam plugin has not been installed on your computer. Installing the GradeCam plugin only needs to be performed once. - Download the plugin. - Locate the file on your computer and install.

- You will be prompted once the plugin installs. YOu may need to restart your computer. Camera Settings Once you have installed your camera you may want to check the settings. To edit the camera settings: - Choose Settings from the drop down menu beneath your name. - Choose Camera - Select the camera you wish to be the default. Your computer may have multiple cameras to choose from if it has a webcam installed. The most common camera for PLSD is the IPEVO Point 2 View. Creating an Assignment To create an assignment: - Choose Assignment from the top menu. - Choose Create. - Select the details for the assignment. (Note: Exam would be the common assignment type for most assignments needed) - Choose Done. - Set the key. (Grid in the correct answers). Customize Answer Choices for all Questions To customize the answer choices on all questions in an assignment: - Log into your GradeCam account and click on the Assignments tab. - Select the assignment to change the question type. You can also do this when creating the assignment for the first time. - Click on the Key option to go to the assignment s Key.

- Click the check box on top of the list to select all questions. - Click on the "Type" button. - Choose More... from the selections in the drop-down menu. - Type in custom answer choices for multiple choice questions.

Customize Answer Choices for all Questions - Log into your GradeCam account and click on the Assignments tab. - Select the assignment to change the question type. You can also do this when creating the assignment for the first time. - Click on the Key option to go to the assignment s Key. - Click on the questions you want to customize. For example, you may want to make all even questions T/F, or only have choices ABCD appear on the assignment. - Click on the "Type" button. - Type in custom answer choices for multiple choice questions and/or scoring rubric questions.

- Click Save. Printing Class Forms for A Specific Assignment - Log into your GradeCam account and click on the Assignments tab. - Create your assignment with an answer key. - Choose Forms to the right below the Summary option. - Choose the desired class from the drop down box. - This will populate answer keys with your students names and gradecam id s (recommended). - Print the answer keys to be distributed to students.

Printing General Forms for Class Use - Log into your GradeCam account and click on the Forms tab. Customize your general form by choosing Advanced Options and editing as needed. - Click the drop down box (Blank Forms) and choose the class you wish to print. - Choose Print (Note: Print to a PDF and save to your computer to access a general form at any time). Scanning Forms - Teacher Mode

- Log into your GradeCam account and click on the Assignments tab. - Select the assignment for which you want to scan the forms. Note: If you just created the assignment and answer key, click on the "Next" button to go to the screen in step 3. - Choose the appropriate class from the drop-down menu.

- Place the form under the camera as seen in the preview screen. - The number correct will appear to the left of the student's name in the class list.

- Information about questions missed and percentage correct appear below the preview screen. Scanning Forms - Student Mode TEACHER STEPS - SCANNING ASSIGNMENTS - Log into your GradeCam account and click on the Assignments tab.

- Select the assignment for which you want to scan the forms. Note: If you just created the assignment and answer key, click on the "Next" button to go to the screen in step 3. - Choose the appropriate class from the drop-down menu.

- Click on the "Student View" button. STUDENT STEPS - SCANNING ASSIGNMENTS - Place the form under the camera as seen in the preview screen.

- Receive immediate feedback on your overall score and questions missed. - Press the spacebar to clear your results before the next student uses the camera. Editing a Class - Adding a Student - Log into your GradeCam account and click on the Classes tab. - Click on the class you wish to edit - Click Add and fill in the required field on the pop-up screen. It is recommended to copy and paste the student ID from your pinnacle gradebook. *If the student is in Perry s GradeCam system the rest of the information will auto-populate

If a student is new to the district, or not in Perry s GradeCam system, send a tech request to techhelp@perrylocal.org. Be sure to include the following: Student s first and last name, student id, and building. - Choose Add Student Editing a Class - Removing a Student from a Class - Log into your GradeCam account and click on the Classes tab. - Click on the class you wish to edit. - Click on the box of the student(s) you wish to remove. - Choose Remove

Editing a Class - Editing Class Information - Log into your GradeCam account and click on the Classes tab. - Click on the class you wish to edit. - Click on Edit Details in the upper right corner. Edit the fields necessary. - Choose Done. Transferring to Pinnacle Configure GradeCam Insight to match the settings for your gradebook program and transfer the scores from GradeCam Insight to your gradebook. - Log into your GradeCam account and choose Settings from the account drop-down menu.

- Choose GradeBook from the Settings menu. - Edit the Settings as needed. - The screen above is the most common settings for pinnacle gradebook. - Open your gradebook and create an assignment for the corresponding class. - Click in the first cell and hit your pre-set hot key (F8). The scores will auto populate based on the settings in GradeCam.

Viewing Reports Evaluate the performance of a class on scanned assignments. - Log into your GradeCam account and click on the Reports tab. - Click on the Classes link under Reports. - View the average percentage for all assignments.

- Click on a class for more details. - See an overview of the class average on all assignments.

- View a graph representing the performance of the class on selected assignments. - View information on individual assignments and choose whether or not to include the assignment in the graph.

- Click on an assignment to view additional reports about that assignment.
