Real skills for the real world A centre s guide to qualifications

We believe in learning At the core of everything we do is the desire to make a measurable impact on improving people s lives through learning. Pearson aspires to be the world s leading learning company. From primary to secondary school, through to professional certification; our qualifications, curriculum materials, multimedia learning tools and testing programmes help to educate millions of people worldwide. Real skills for the real world Over the last 30 years, Pearson s qualifications have helped people across the globe develop the skills they need to achieve their education and career goals. Engaging and inspiring, these work-related qualifications are suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities. Our practical learning focuses students minds and helps to show how theory works in real life. A new path to success Created in collaboration with educators and industry, qualifications develop 21st century skills sought after by employers across the globe. They allow our students to directly access further or higher education, and prepare them for employment. Teaching in ways your students will love s unique, handson approach means that your students will leave not only with an internationally recognised qualification but with real skills and knowledge that can immediately be put to use in a professional or academic context. This learning approach is supported by our comprehensive suite of training, support and resources that make teaching as rewarding as studying it. Giving students flexible options The student experience is just as flexible as the qualification itself and our modular approach helps students to learn at their own pace. This means our students can study programmes full-time or on a part-time basis while working. I think all students should have the chance to do at least one just to help them gain the skills needed for the 21st century. Sandra Carter, Vice Principal, Cambridge 2 International School, Dubai 3

Whatever your students ambition, we can help them achieve it Our qualifications can fit easily alongside your institution s existing programmes, and they can be taken with, or in place of, academic qualifications. The competencies developed while studying a create unique options to progress, making them respected by top employers and universities around the world.
