CBCS scheme for the year 2016-17 Any graduate of Bangalore University or of any other University recognized by the Bangalore University as equivalent thereto who is physically fit and satisfies any of the following conditions will be eligible for admission to B. P. Ed. Degree Course. a. Bachelor s Degree in any discipline with 50% marks and having at least participation in the Inter-College/Inter-Zonal/District/School competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India. OR b. Bachelor s Degree in Physical Education with 45% marks. OR c. Bachelor s Degree in any discipline with 45% marks and studied physical education as compulsory elective subject. OR d. Outstanding sports person means a candidate who has participated in recognized Inter-University/Interstate/International sports or games competitions. 3. All candidates shall produce a Medical fitness certificate issued by a medical Officer of not less than the rank of District Surgeon. Selection procedure for M.P.Ed course: Candidates shall be selected on the basis of merit. Merit shall be determined on the basis of candidate s performance in the qualifying examination, entrance test and his/her achievement in sports and games. The weightage shall be given as follow:- i) 40% marks obtained in the qualifying examination ii) 30% of marks obtained in the entrance test. iii) 30% Marks for physical fitness tests performance.
