Asking follow up Questions When speaking with someone, it is normal that a conversation is full of questions and answers. When someone answers a question, we often ask a follow up question to: 1. Get more information. 2. Show interest and keep the conversation going. Follow up questions are just questions we ask based on the answers the other person has given. First, say a rejoinder and then just think of the seven basic question words. Who? What? Where? When? Why? I went to a concert last night. That s great. What band did you see? Part one : In Korean, you use the basic unit of 만 (10 000) to count large amounts of money. When you want to express 50 000 won, for example, you say 오만원. This means 5 ten thousands. In English, however, when we want to express numbers that are bigger than one thousand, we use 1000 as the basic counting unit. In order to know the number, just remember that three zeros mean thousand and the number before it is the number of thousands. Ex. 50 000, fifty thousand. Remember. These large numbers are expressed as one unit, so we do not add an s to them. Fifty thousand, not fifty thousands. 백만 (1 000 000) is expressed as one million. 천만 ( 10 000 000) is expressed as 10 million 1 억 is expressed as 100 million and 10 억 is 1 billion.
