School Watchung Hills Regional High School is a highly performing secondary institution that is committed to excellence and equity. Our culture of inquiry and collaboration support a comprehensive academic program, designed to teach students to ask questions, take risks, and solve problems. With emphasis on a growth mindset and social and emotional wellness, we help students discover their passions, discern pathways, and embrace challenges. Our 1:1 technology and STEAM initiatives complement a rich array of academic and cocurricular opportunities, including 24 AP courses, 31 interscholastic sports, and more than 60 clubs and activities. Students develop leadership skills and contribute to our school community through student government, student-run publications, service organizations, academic competitions, and award-winning performing arts programs. The student enrollment is 1984 with a senior class of 495. Approximately 95% of the Class of 2018 is attending post-secondary institutions. Community Located in Somerset County, 25 miles from New York City, the school serves the suburban communities of Green Brook, Long Hill, Warren, and Watchung. Parents, alumni, and local organizations strengthen our school community through their support of the PTO, athletic and co-curricular booster clubs and associations, and strategic planning committees.
