Sripirabaa, Editor Meetings The Management Committee meeting for the month of January was held on January 27, 2016 at CMA Hall. Students Chapter Activities A summit on Brands of was organized by CMA Students Chapter on February 5, 2016 at Assembly Hall, PSG College of Technology. About 700 students from the students chapter institutions participated in the summit. Mr. OA. Balasubramaniam, President CMA welcomed the gathering with opening remarks. Mr. S. Ramamurthy, Secretary CMA presented an overview of the Summit. Five Brands as below have been identified as Brands of this year. o Smt. Vanitha Mohan, Managing Trustee, Siruthuli o Mr. G. Soundararajan, Vice Chairman, CRI Pumps Pvt, Ltd o Mr. B. Balchand, Chairman and Managing Director, Mahaveers Group of Concerns o Mr. V. Parthiban, Managing Director, Bull Machines Pvt Ltd; o Mr. M. Mani, Director, Microbiological Laboratory 1
The Students made a two minute presentation on each of the brands. This was followed by sharing of experiences by the Promoters and Directors of the Brands. The session was moderated by Prof. S. Balasubramanian, MC Member CMA and Director, GRG Centre for Advanced Studies. The common thread that connected the success of these brands were vision, big dream, creating core value for the business, passion for work, hard work, sincerity, dedication, belief in self, continuous learning, commitment, consistent quality, breeding trust among the customers, and. The summit concluded with the closing remarks by Prof. V. Prabha, Director, RVSIMS and Member MC, CMA. Student Management Day was conducted on February 13, 2016 at GRG School of Management Studies. About 150 students participated in the Student Project Presentation, Quiz and Debate contests. During the inaugural session, Prof. S. Balasubramanian, MC Member CMA presented the opening remarks, Mr. S. Ramamurthy, Secretary CMA welcomed the gathering, and Prof. K. Chitra, Joint Secretary, CMA briefed on the contests planned for the Student Management Day. During the valedictory session Mr. O.A. Balasubramaniam, President CMA welcomed the gathering, Dr. Nithyanandan Devaraaj, Head-Foundry Business Unit, L&T, delivered the valedictory address and Dr. B. Sripirabaa, Students 2
Chapter Coordinator and MC Member CMA delivered the vote of thanks. (The winners of the contests were later honoured with Prizes during the National Management Day held on February 22, 2016). National Management Day Celebrations National Management Day was celebrated on February 22, 2016 at The Residency. Mr. O.A. Balasubramanian, President CMA welcomed the gathering and presented his opening remarks. The Chief Guest was Mr. S. Madhavan, CEO, Cognizant Foundation, Chennai. Mr. S.
