Welcome back to the Spring Term and I hope you all had a restful holiday. A big thank you for all your cards and gifts that were given to myself and the other staff, this is much appreciated. The weather is not very spring-like yet, so we need to be prepared. If we do need to shut the school, it is important that we have your current mobile number please keep us updated. We will try to make a decision by 7.45am and send out a text if we are closed. This term, we will be doing lots of exciting activities, including Maths Week and our book fair, plus a visit from a dinosaur workshop. Please help your child read their books at home and sign the home-school link booklet. This term is hard work for the children, as we have un-interrupted learning until Easter and we will be working towards their targets. We will also be meeting all parents again before Easter for our second Structured Conversation. Please support us by getting children to school every day on time and helping them with their homework. Children are then taken to their classes. 1 a day, please make sure you pay in advance or on the day. Enter through the Children s Centre door. No need to book, you can just turn up on the day. Book Bags Please make sure that you check your child s book bag every night. Reading books, information letters and any awards your child has earned could be in the book bag! Pupil Premium Reminder Don t forget, if your circumstances change and you start to receive benefits let us know. It may mean that your child can join our Pupil Premium list. This means they get reduced price trips and Breakfast Club, and the school gets extra funding. In the event of the school being closed due to bad weather or other reasons beyond our control, we will send out a text. Please ensure that the school is kept informed of any contact changes so you will receive the information. If you are unsure of the contact numbers we hold for you, please visit the school office. School closures are also shown on the MK Council website: www.milton-keynes.gov.uk/closures Remember... to inform the school of any changes to your contact details, or you and your child may miss out on events information and we won t be able to contact you in an emergency. NO BOOTS! Uniform We have noticed a few children not following the school uniform guidelines. Please ensure children wear the following: Black/grey trousers, skirt or pinafore dress. Red sweatshirt, jumper or cardigan. Children should wear socks. White shirt, polo top or short-sleeved T-shirt (no tops with straps). (Optional, in warmer weather) Red and white check dress. Sensible shoes or trainers (no boots, flip-flops, platforms or shoes with heels). School uniform footwear is black shoes. No boots. Boots are difficult to manage when children sit cross-legged on the carpet.
