CIM Certificate in Professional Marketing - Ashford THE CIM CERTIFICATE in Professional Marketing with Goldcrest Academy Who is it for? Ideal for those who are working in supporting marketing roles, usually in the marketing function and currently working as marketing assistants, co-ordinators or executives. This course is appropriate for those working as a Marketing Executive or Manager within a small or medium enterprise (SME), without formal marketing qualifications. It is also suitable for those moving into marketing roles from other backgrounds or for those whom would like more specialist experience. Entry criteria The CIM require that you meet one or more of the following criteria: 1. CIM Introductory Certificate in Marketing (Level 3) OR 2. Any relevant Level 3 qualification OR 3. Foundation Degree in Business with Marketing OR 4. Any Bachelor s or Master s degree from a recognised university OR 5. International Baccalaureate (equivalent to NQF Level 3 and above) OR 6. Professional practice one year or more in a marketing role A free, online diagnostic assessment may be taken by applicants, which provides a useful guide on entry level and readiness for the course. We can provide assistance on this for you. Note: With qualifications which are over 10 years old, the CIM will not consider them for exemption purposes. Those educated outside of the UK must have achieved the equivalent of the above entry criteria and, where English is not their first language, provide evidence of English language competence. This must include evidence of either the IELTS Academic Unit with an overall score of 6.5 (each component mark must be 6.0 or above) OR the Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (grade B or above). What does the course consist of? There are four units which can be completed two are compulsory and two are electives. Students can choose one elective from the choice of two. Three units must be passed to achieve this qualification. Each unit is classed as an award, this means that you can earn an individual certificate too (ie collect them as you study). The qualification units include: 1. Marketing - compulsory 2. Integrated Communications compulsory Then a choice of one of the following (students can opt to study all four units) 3. Customer Experience optional elective and/or 4. One credit equates to 10 hours of learning. As this is a professional qualification, you will find that study hours will include activities you complete in the line of work and allow you flexibility as to when to plan your study time. How does the course work? We have put flexibility and simplicity at the core of this course allowing you to fit it in with a busy work and private life. The course is sandwiched so you have online before and after the face to face session. That way you gain the benefit of individual tutor support, but also a group session to accelerate and focus your studies. You can decide where, when, how to study the online and we provide handy podcasts to guide your studies. This is a course for motivated students, but allows you maximum work/life balance to suit your needs. A key dates schedule is provided and there are options for regular feedback on your lesson activities or CIM assignment tasks. The class session takes place on a weekend. Fees consist of CIM membership and assessment entry fees and tuition fees for either a class session (blended/intensive) or distance learning options. VAT only applies to tuition fees.
