Masquerade Gala The Divine Savior Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is hosting a fundraiser Masquerade Gala on February 23, 2019. If you are interested in sponsoring this event, a sponsorship form is attached. Volunteer Orientation Volunteer Orientations will be held on the dates below. In order to be a chaperone for a field trip, you must complete the Volunteer Orientation once every 5 years. All orientations will be held in the auditorium at 7 pm. November 6 January 22 ATHLETICS NEWS HEADING TO STATE - 2 TEAMS!! For the first time in school history, we had a whole team advance past the Regional round of the FHSAA State Series of competition. This is a great accomplishment as it identifies our team as one of the best teams in the state in our class. We didn t just have one team accomplish this, but two different teams! Our Varsity Girls Volleyball team defeated a tough Lake Worth Christian squad 3-0 last Tuesday night to advance to the State Semifinals. We will host First Baptist Academy on Saturday, November 10 at 2 pm for a chance to advance to the State Championship Game. Put this date and time on your schedule and plan on attending to cheer on our girls as they make DSA History! Last Wednesday, our Girls and Boys Cross Country teams competed in the Regional Championship in Boca Raton. Our girls team needed a season-best performance in order to advance to the State Championship race and the girls did exactly that, with six of our seven runners running their fastest times of the season. They will now compete as a team, for the first time ever, in the State Championship Race on Saturday, November 10 at 7:55 am at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee. Girls High School Basketball Unfortunately there will not be a girls high school Basketball team for the 2018-2019 season. We did not have enough high school girls interested in participating this year, but we hope to have this program back up and running next year. The Middle School Girls Basketball season will still happen as scheduled. Boys Basketball Tryouts begin on Monday, November 5. If you are unable to attend, please contact Varsity Head Coach, Dan Unke: dan.unke@divinesavioracademy.com. Fall Sports Awards Night This year we are trying something new for our athletic awards nights. Rather than a long evening while all sports and levels take turns presenting, this year, each sport will have its own awards night. Please mark the dates below on your calendar and plan on attending if your son or daughter participated in any of our fall athletic programs. If you have any questions contact Athletic Director, Dan Unke (dan.unke@divinesavioracademy.com) or the Varsity Coach listed with each sport. Golf: Monday, November 5-7 pm, high school commons Head Coach, Ryan Kirchoff: ryan.kirchoff@divinesavioracademy.com Girls Soccer On Tuesday, November 6 there will be a mandatory parent informational meeting for all girls soccer players and parents. The middle school will be held in the high school art room and the Varsity team in the high school music room. The meeting will begin at 7 pm. If you have questions, please email the respective coaches: Varsity Coach - Shawna Smith: shawna.smith@divinesavioracademy.com Middle School Coach- Mackenzie Peterson: mackenzie.peterson@divinesavioracademy.com Upcoming Athletic Events Saturday, November 10 High School Varsity Girls Cross Country at the FHSAA State Championship Meet (Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee) - 7:55 am High School Varsity Volleyball vs. First Baptist Academy - 2 pm (State Semifinals at DSA) 10311 NW 58th Street, Doral FL 33178 P (305) 597-4545 F (305) 597-4077 www.divinesavioracademy.com

Dear Friends of Divine Savior Academy, The annual DSA fundraising Gala will be a Masquerade Ball held on Saturday, February 23rd, 2019. It will be an unforgettable night at the Trump National Hotel in the beautiful city of Doral. Proceeds from the event will benefit a very special addition to the Doral campus - the construction of a school for students with special needs. This project is scheduled to begin in 2019 and all the profits will go towards furnishing the building. We are excited to share this news with our Divine Savior Family and hope you will join us in raising funds for such a worthy cause. We are depending upon our generous supporters for help with the new school. The following sponsorships are available for our friends and families. Please note, you can choose to be a sponsor and contribute to this cause even if you are not able to attend the event. Each sponsorship level includes Promotion of your business in print, digital, media & distribution to 1,000 families prior to and during the event. All donors will be provided with a confirmation letter specifying their tax deductible donation amount to a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. As a non-profit, private school, we are independently funded and do not receive any government tax dollars for the education we provide. We thank you for your support and thank you for helping us serve our community. Your donation will not only benefit the children of our community, but your business will also benefit from the recognition it will receive from participating in this extraordinary and legendary event for our school.
