TEST SCORES The CSU accepts the SAT and ACT. CSU does not look at writing portion of SAT or ACT If a student submits multiple score reports the highest score earned in each single sub score of the examination is used. CSU expects for each student to have SAT/ACT completed by Dec of their senior year; impacted campuses by October/ November CSU Mentor Code: 3594 Example: 1st time: 400 M + 500 CR= 900 2nd time: 500 M + 400 CR= 900 CSU total = 500 M + 500 CR= 1000
Initial Admission Decision GPA/Honors Points 10 th & 11th grades* 8 th or 9 th grade courses count, not grades 12 th grade is used to confirm initial provisional admission (Did the student pass everything they said they would?) Ds and Fs Repeated courses (Grade replaced if course is exactly the same) Honors and AP (p. 13 of Admission Handbook) 11th and 12th grade 10 th grade (max 2 courses; 11 th or 12 th grade content; AP or IB) 8 points max. total * Cal Poly SLO calculates a 2 nd GPA from 9 th, 10 th, & 11 th grade as part of their admission process
Eligibility Index SAT (GPA x 800) + SAT Reasoning total = CSU Minimum: 2900 ACT (200 x GPA) + (10 x ACT total) = CSU Minimum: 694
