Delaware Foundation for the Visual Arts Excellence in Drawing Program As part of our mission the DFVA prioritizes the development and advancement of future artists. The DFVA Excellence in Drawing Program provides emerging student artists opportunity for recognition and is paired with our Scholarship Program to facilitate continuous learning. Participation is open to Delaware high school students. Delaware high school seniors are eligible to apply for DFVA scholarships. Other awards include art lessons given by DFVA art educators and local art teachers. Winners are selected by local professional artists and art educators. Application forms can be found at www.dfva.org. As an organization it is important that we adapt and meet the needs of the next generation of artists. As a result, we are currently developing programs and changes that will benefit the serious art student. Thank You The Delaware Foundation for the Visual Arts would like to thank artist, poet and educator E. Jean Lanyon for judging the 2017 Excellence in Drawing Calendar Competition and selecting the 2017 DFVA Scholarship winners.
