Special Scholarship Scheme for Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) was started in the academic year 2010-11 to encourage the youth of J&K to peruse higher studies outside the State of J&K. 5000 fresh scholarship per annum. To build capacities of youth of J&K to enable them to compete in the normal course and to meet expenditure towards Academic and Maintenance Charges(for hostel, mess, cost of books and other incidentals). Students having domicile of J&K State. Passed 10+2 Exam from J&K Board or CBSE affiliated schools located in J&K. Passed 10+3 Diploma from J&K State Polytechnics are eligible for admission in direct second year in prescribed list of Colleges on the vacant seats of previous year s allotment. For studying outside J&K State only. Eligible students should attend Counseling on the dates announced. Scholarships available for regular General / Professional/ Medical Degree Courses in prescribed list of colleges given on the AICTE Portal. Admission on merit basis through centralized counseling conducted by AICTE. Fulfilling minimum age and other eligibility criteria as prescribed by the Colleges/Universities. Students who qualify entrance examination conducted by Central / State Govt. (NEET, JEE) are also required to mark their attendance at the respective Counseling Centre and only then eligible for scholarships. Students taking admission in MBBS / BDS course etc. are required to qualify NEET examination. Students taking admission in Architecture course are required to qualify NATA examination. Reservation Policy of J&K Govt. will be followed. Aadhar Card is essential for smooth transfer of scholarship (PFMS).

Register on AICTE Portal within the announced last date. On successful registration, all registered students will be issued username and password to fill online form on AICTE Portal. Upload State Subject (Domicile Certificate), Income certificate, Class 10/12 mark sheet and Category certificate. Student is required to give preference to state whether he / she wants to take admission on his / her own or through counselling. Merit list of all registered students would be prepared and displayed on AICTE Portal.
Scholarship would be awarded strictly as per the Merit List. Reservation Policy of the State is applicable. After registration, username and password will be issued to the students. Upload Domicile Certificate, Income certificate, Class 10/12 mark sheet and Category certificate etc. Caste Certificate if not uploaded on the web-portal within the stipulated announced last date, no benefit of reservation policy will be given to the applicant. No change in preference will be permitted after counselling is over.
Facilitation Centres will be opened in J&K. The list of such Facilitation Centres will be uploaded on the website of AICTE. Applicant(s) will visit nearest Facilitation Centre to get his / her uploaded documents verified with originals within stipulated time as announced on the AICTE Portal.
AICTE will open counseling Centers at Jammu / Srinagar / Leh. Registered candidate will have to be present at the Counseling Center. Student remaining absent will not be eligible for scholarship in any case. Allotment of seats will be made through counselling only. Intimation to student(s) regarding counselling and other information will be sent via SMS/Email on there registered mobile numbers. Registered students are therefore requested to check the latest updates on there mobile phones.

Go through the Instructions Document then click on Proceed Further Tab to access DBT application. Click on the Basic Details Tab, Institute Details Tab & Bank Details Tab and fill in all the necessary information. Click on Attachments Tab and upload Scanned Copies of Joining Report, First Page of the Bank Pass Book showing Account Holders Name, Account Number, IFSC Code, MICR, Bank Address and AADHAAR Card. Step 5 Finally click on Submit Tab and log out from the Portal. Step 5 You should now contact institute for verification of DBT application & submit online.
Step1 If the institute is admitting PMSSS students for the first time they should apply issue of User ID & Password,already admitted students under PMSSS, then you may use the old User ID & Password and submit SFRC only for current year. Step 2 Login on to J & K Admission Portal using authorized User Id & Password sent on your official email address. Step 3 Fill in the necessary Information & upload relevant documents under three Tabs namely Institute Details, Bank Details & Fee Details Submit & Proceed for Candidate Verification. Step 4 Verify the details of all the students one by one. After Verification of all the Students move on to Verified & Admitted Students Tab & Institute Details Tab to see the list of Verified & Admitted Students in your Institution and details of Your Institute along with Bank Details entered by you. Finally Save
Academic Fee include tuition fee, development fee, library fee, internet fee, training fee, university fee, examination fee etc. and such non-refundable components of fee approved by State Fee Regulatory Committee. This will be reimbursed on yearly basis directly to Institution as per actual within overall ceiling of guidelines. Maintenance Charges which include hostel fee, mess fee, books and stationery charges will be debited through PFMS in students account directly in two equal instalments of Rs. 50,000/- each. Saving Bank Account of the student should be seeded with Aadhar Number.
Establishment of Grievance Redressal Mechansim by following mode: Online Grievance Registration Call Center Mechanism Emails Awareness Program by AICTE In collaboration with TISS, AICTE is also conducting survey for improving the implementation process and to further fine-tune the process of selection and funds disbursement to the current and prospective students.
AICTE has also decided to cover undergraduate engineering courses through lateral entry for diploma holders under PMSSS who are looking forward to enhance their technical skills and ensue their professional life. Candidates can apply in Engineering stream only and will be allotted specialization in which he/she has pass diploma programme. Last year (2017-18) total 516 candidates have reported.

Once the application is submitted, a confirmation mail is sent to candidate with attachment of his application.
