Coordinator s Desk DPSI adjusted the sail to face the sweeping winds of change. Slogan Writing Trees are very essential for the healthy and happy life on the Earth. Mainly they are the rich source of fresh food and oxygen, which are the basic needs of life and we can only get them from the plants. As slogan may easily motivate people about saving the trees. In DPSI slogan writing activity held on wherein the students of IV and V participated enthusiastically. Save trees to breathe fresh air If you cut a tree, you kill a life. Gift your friends a sapling and request them to plant. Trees bring greenery and greenery brings happiness. No time is better other than now to plant a tree. Trees give good look, don t destroy them from earth book are some effective, unique and motivational slogans which the students wrote very beautifully.

World Population Day An activity on WORLD POPULATION DAY was conducted in class V on 11 July 2018. Questions related to the population of the world were asked by the teacher. This activity enhanced their knowledge regarding population and it s structure. The organization conducted a survey on population. Students participated actively and answered the questions well. The motive of this activity was to aware the students regarding world population and its effects on future generation. Overall, it was a wonderful learning experience for the students.

KARGIL VICTORY DAY KARGIL VICTORY DAY is celebrated on 26 July every year in honour of the Kargil war heroes. The Prime Minister pays homage to the soldiers at AMAR JAVAN JYOTI at India Gate every year. In DPSI also functions are organised to commemorate the contribution of the armed forces. To pay homage to the warriors a special assembly was conducted for the middle classes wherein the students presented different programmes recalling the sacrifices of Indian soldiers. Students of class v depicted their patriotic feelings through a talk on Kargil heroes like GRENADIER YOGENDRA SINGH YADAV, LIEUTENANT MANOJ KUMAR PANDEY, CAPTAIN VIKRAM BATRA, RIFLEMAN SANJAY KUMAR etc. During this activity the students were filled with patriotic fervour.

BOOK REVIEW A book review is a description and a critical evaluation of a book. It gives a summary of the content and assesses the value of the book focusing on the book's purpose and content. In DPSI everyday a reading programme is conducted for the students wherein they get the chance of reading novels and books. On July 30, 2018 a book review activity was held in classes 4 & 5 where the students reviewed the book they had read. The students enjoyed this activity a lot as it motivated them to read good books.

Drawing Competition A person can express many things by the medium of his/her arts. An artist expresses his thoughts and feelings by painting with his brush and colours. In DPSI various competitions are organized with the aim that the children can develop expert skill in the field of their choice. Celebrating Van Mahotsav Week DPSI organized a Drawing Competition for its young minds, wherein its primary children drew beautiful paintings and showcased their thoughts and feelings to save trees. Each of the drawing was a treat to the eyes. Class: V Topic: Solids, Liquids & Gases Science Activity: To draw particle arrangement of solids, liquids and gases. Objective: To make the students understand about the arrangement of particles in solids, liquid and gases. This activity was conducted in class V. The main objective was to make them understand about the arrangement of particles of solids, liquids and gases. They drew the arrangement of particles which are tightly packed in solids, less tightly packed in liquids and loosely packed in gases. Students were full of enthusiasm and took part nicely. Class: IV Topic: Soil Activity: To draw well labelled diagram of soil profile. Objective: To make students understand about the different layers of the soil. This activity was conducted in class IV. The main objective was to make them understand about the different layers of the soil. After this activity they were able to understand that the soil is made up of three layers i.e. topsoil, subsoil and bedrock. They drew the soil profile and coloured that beautifully. Students were full of enthusiasm and participated actively in this class activity.

Maths Class: V Objective: How to add and subtract fractions Activity: Activity on Addition and Subtraction of Fractions An activity related to addition and subtraction of fractions was conducted in class by providing worksheets to the students. This activity reinforced their mathematical concepts in a fun way manner. The aim of the activity was to test the understanding and recalling power of students. Students were asked to do the given questions based on addition and subtraction of fractions. They were very curious to do the activity as it was a recapitulation for them.the fractions were also to be represented in a circle by shading or colouring. Children chose colouring instead. They enjoyed it a lot.

Topic -Roman Symbols Class IV Objective To learn and recognize Roman Symbols. This activity was held in class 4.In this activity students brought drawing sheet, toothpicks and fevicol. Students draw different pictures on their sheet and then they make 7 Roman Symbols with their toothpicks.students stick these Roman Symbols in their picture. Students learnt and enjoyed this activity of Roman Symbols.

Social Studies Class V Activity: To Know about the grassland of the world. Objective: Map activity on Temperate Grasslands of the World An activity, based on Grasslands of the world was conducted for class V. Students labelled and marked the various grasslands of the world in physical map of the world. The motive of this activity was to make them aware about the location of various grasslands of the world. They participated actively in this activity.

Class : IV Topic: The Great Indian Desert Activity: Map Activity on Thar Desert Objective: To make the students aware of the location of the Indian Desert. A map activity was conducted in class IV to cover the topic Great Indian Desert. Students located Thar Desert of India on the physical map of India. The motive behind the activity was to make students acquaint with the boundaries of Thar Desert in Rajasthan state. All students actively participated in the activity.

Class-IV Topic - Good Neighbours English Objective - To provide opportunity to learn by doing. Posters can have quite a positive effect on the process of learning. It provides an opportunity to learn by doing.it can actively engage students in their learning process. Keeping all this in mind an activity on poster making was held in all the sections of class IV on neighbourhood. The students drew eye catching drawings and wrote beautiful slogans, such as "Keep your neighbourhood clean and green', 'Take care of your neighbourhood' etc. Their posters were able to attract the attention of the readers and influence their minds.in this way this activity proved very fruitful for the students. Class: V Activity- Worksheet on Adjectives Topic- Adjective Objective- Students should be able to use adjective appropriately. Adjective add meaning to the sentence. In class V an activity was held on July 11, 2018 A worksheet on adjective was given to the students in the class and they wrote the adjectives related to person and things. Students took part in this activity enthusiastically. This activity proved a vital activity for the students.
