You read the leaflet on the next page and decide to apply as a volunteer to help the event run smoothly. Your task: is to write an email application to your local council persuading them that you are the right person to be a volunteer. (26 marks) Suggested word count 250 300 words. SportsFest is a city-wide celebration of sport, fitness and health which encourages all members of the public to spend a whole weekend taking part in sport. Our vision is that sport should be for all. The sports featured at this year s SportsFest have been chosen to make sure that that there ll be something for everyone, whatever your gender, disability, age, ethnicity or background. We will have football, basketball and netball as well as some of the more unusual sports such as archery, indoor rock climbing and trampolining. You name it, we ve probably got it planned. To make all this happen we need a huge army of volunteers. Have you got what it takes? Do you want to be part of something special? We need people with the following qualities: Reliable Team player Self motivated Organised Can do attitude Good communication skills Helpful and polite Please email us to persuade us that you are the right person to be a volunteer. You must include details of things you have done that show you have all of the above qualities.
