We strive to nurture respectful, supportive and collaborative relationships that will Enhance the community Value of the Week: Positively Growing In My Learning Dear Parents and Carers, Absences Please note that it is now a legal obligation for all schools to make contact with parents/carers for any unknown absences. If a parent/carer cannot be contacted, the student's emergency contact will be rung. The class roll is marked twice daily. If your child is unwell or will be absent from school for other reasons, a phone call to the office, an email or notification via the Skoolbag app is expected. The use of text messages or class dojo will no longer be an accepted form of communication for absence. Going to school every day is the single most important part of your child s education, they learn new things every day missing school puts them behind. Staffing Laura Cato-Symonds who is currently employed as an Educational Support Officer will be taking maternity leave as at the end of term 2. Miss Breeanna Ingram will be replacing Laura. We wish Laura all the best on her leave and the safe delivery of a new born baby. School Board Meeting -(Rescheduled for Wednesday 20th June) The next School Board meeting is Wednesday 20th of June in the Multi Purpose Room. The meeting is to commence at 7.00pm.

Wellington Winter School Sports - Wednesday 20th June This coming Wednesday students from Year 5/6 will compete in the Wellington Division Winter School Sport competition in Sale. The T-Ball team will play at Stephenson Park in Sale commencing at 10.00am. Netball will be at the Gippsland Regional Sporting Complex in Sale commencing at 10.15am. Parents need to sign the permission notice on Caremonkey for your child to attend. Bug Blitz Excursion - Thursday 21st June This Thursday 21st of June, students from Years Prep 2 will be attending a Bug Blitz excursion on the Avon River. This is a project initiative of the Hugh Williamson Foundation with Bug Blitz Trust, Museum of Victoria, Nambool and in partnership with Avon Landcare. The students will participate in activities focusing on what lives in the Avon River. Parents have received details last week on Caremonkey. Tuckshop Multicultural Day - Friday 22nd June I would like to thank the SRC for initiating the idea of celebrating Refugee Week with a Multicultural Day. The students are invited to dress up in another country and bring a bag of rice which will be donated to St Vincent De Paul Society. Thank you to the Parents and Friends who have organised the special tuckshop menu for the day. School Closure - Monday 25th June The school will be closed on Monday 25th June as all the staff will be attending a scheduled Professional Development Day set by the Catholic Education Office on Religious Education. Staff will be attending this day with other Catholic Primary schools in the region. End of Term 2- Students will finish school for the term on Friday the 29th of June at 2.30pm. Assembly will be held in the Multi Purpose Room at 2.00pm. The students are permitted to wear appropriate casual clothes on this day. Students will be participating in their normal sports lesson on this day. The students are to receive their end of term report during the last week of term 2. OUR WEEK AT ST PATRICK S Cavallo Capers - Last Thursday the students were entertained by Nadia Cavallo. Nadia is an Italian teacher in Geelong who has performed in a number of schools in Victoria showcasing her own songs and dance routines. I would like to thank Leiah Cook for organising this event for the students. Cross Country News Congratulations to Tilly, Harry and Mac who competed at Region Cross Country Championships in Warragul. Great effort!! Friday 22nd June we will be celebrating Refugee Week with a Multicultural Day dress up and Multicultural Tuckshop. This has been organised by our SRC students. Students are invited to dress up in clothes from other country and bring a bag of rice which will be donated to St Vincent de Paul Society. The Parents and Friends have also very generously organised a special Multicultural Tuckshop for the day.
