Presentation ESSCA SUMMER SESSION 2019

ESSCA is pleased to announce its 2019 Summer Session. This program takes place during the first two weeks of July, starting with a weekend in Paris followed by a week of classes in Angers and will terminate by a week of classes on our Bordeaux campus. Students who follow this programme have the possibility to earn 7,5 ECTS. Teaching will be carried out by the regular ESSCA research staff and adjunct professors with the possibility of guest speakers and outings. 2

The Programme ESSCA Summer Session: - is an intensive 2-week programme - is entirely taught in English - is on 3 locations : Paris, Angers, Bordeaux. - is open to both undergraduate and graduate students - offers a multicultural learning environment which develops cross-cultural skills - provides a knowledge into the essential aspects of France - courses and company visits - includes field trips to outstanding cultural heritage sites. The programme starts with a weekend in Paris Followed by a week in Angers, located in Western France. With a population of 160 000 inhabitants, the green city has a historical town centre, a great number of parks, a 12th century fortress. And will end in Bordeaux, a city which is a historic city in the heart of southwest France with ancestral know-how. The wine sector is among the best known in the world. 3

Courses Two courses will be offered during this program. In Angers: Doing Business in France Intercultural and French Management Entrepreneurship in France Doing business in France from a HR perspective In Bordeaux: International Luxury Brand Marketing This course will give students overview of the French and international luxury industry 4

Application and admission If you wish to apply, please contact your international coordinator at your home university. Once nominated you ll be contacted to complete our application form. ESSCA SUMMER SESSION For free mover students, please send us an email to summer@essca.fr Once we have received your registration, we will send you an official letter of acceptance. Partner universities may wish to send their students on the ESSCA Summer Session as part of our exchange quota. Please Sofia Mackenzie for details concerning student exchange number equivalents. The ESSCA Summer Session has a limited number of places Application deadline is April 10, 2019. After this date, please check directly with us if there are still places available. 5

In addition to these visits, a welcome lunch and a farewell dinner will gather all participants together in a cordial atmosphere and allow them to interact with French students and learn about the French way of life. 7

Accommodation Housing will be in self-catering shared (two-student, double occupancy) accommodation in or just outside of Paris, Angers and Bordeaux with easy connections both to the ESSCA Campus as well as the city heart. 8

Visa For participants from non-european countries, a short-stay visa may be mandatory. Please ask your local study abroad advisor. Should a visa be necessary, it will be delivered with proof of your official letter of acceptance issued by ESSCA following your registration. International health insurance Valid international health insurance or travel insurance covering hospital care and repatriation is required to fulfill your registration in the Summer Session. Please send us a copy with your application and make sure your document is written either in French or English

Fees Students from ESSCA's partner universities do not pay tuition fees, but only the organisational costs which are 1900 /student. Students from non-partner universities will pay 3,200 /student (organisational costs + tuition fees). Included in these fees are : Course materials (there are no books to buy) Housing in individual studio or shared (2-student) apartments in an international residence or an appropriate equivalent pending availability The welcome lunch and farewell dinner Some guided tours (venues can be changed according to availability and/or weather) as stated on the previous pages. Transportation from Paris to Angers to Bordeaux to Paris Public transportation card in Angers and Bordeaux Not included in these fees are : Meals and other food and beverages (except for the above-mentioned group meals) Personal expenses Personal travel and accommodations outside the programme 10
