ARTICULATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE DEPARTMENTS OF BIOLOGIC AND PHYSICAL SCIENCES, BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, HEALTH SCIENCES, AND NURSING OF THE UNIVERSITY OF HOLY CROSS, 4123 WOODLAND DRIVE, NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA 70131 AND NORTHSHORE TECHNICAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE, 65556 CENTERPOINT BOULEVARD, LACOMBE, LOUISIANA 70445

Program Northshore Technical Community College (NTCC) students who successfully complete with the courses listed in this agreement are permitted to transfer them to University of Holy Cross (UHC) degree programs in the Biologic and Physical Sciences, Business Administration, Allied Health, and Nursing. The total number of credit hours required to complete a bachelor s degree in accounting form UHC is 120 semester hours and students can transfer up to 60 semester hours for degree credit from NTCC. This is a 2 + 2 program whereby NTCC students will earn a bachelor s degree from UHC after successfully completing at least 60 additional semester hours at the upper level at UHC and meeting all UHC degree requirements. NTCC students will follow the requirements in the UHC Undergraduate Catalog in force at the time they entered NTCC, provided the Catalog is not over 10 years old and there was no break in enrollment of over 5 years. In order to graduate from UHC, students must complete at least 50% of the courses in their bachelor s degree program at UHC with a quality point ratio of 2.5 or better in all work attempted at UHC. Written English Proficiency Test Students transferring ENG 102 (English Composition II) are required to take the English Proficiency Examination, administered by the English Program Coordinator, during transfer orientation and thereafter by appointment for those registering late. A mean score of 2 on the AAC&U (American Association of Colleges and Universities) Written Communication Value Rubric must be achieved. Students who do not achieve that benchmark score may petition the English Program Coordinator to repeat the test. Those who do not achieve a rubric score of 2 upon the second attempt are required to pass ENG 201, Introduction to Writing in the Disciplines, a non-credit tuition-free course, before they are allowed to take upper-level writing intensive courses in their major programs. Students are urged to take this course during the first or no later than the second semester after transfer admission. An administrative fee will be assessed when students must repeat ENG 201. General Transfer Course Listings The list below documents courses approved for transfer between NTCC and UHC. Some UHC courses require prerequisites. See both institutions catalogs for information that is more detailed. The NTCC courses listed below are eligible for admission into the following UHC programs: Biology, Business, Health Sciences Non- Clinical, Neurodiagnostic Technology, Nursing, or Radiologic Technology. Articulation agreements are subject to change. Questions regarding UHC courses and transfer articulation may be directed to the Enrollment Management Office, 504-398-22175 or admissions@uhcno.edu. (list available on pages 1-2) Program Evaluation UHC and NTCC representatives will evaluate on a regular basis the performance of 2 + 2 students and other transfer students in upper level courses and compare their performance to that of continuing UHC students. If the performance of 2 + 2 students is significantly lower than that of continuing UHC students or they have a

quality point ratio of less than 2.5 in all work attempted at UHC, faculty representatives from UHC and NTCC will meet to re-design or amend the agreement. Program Renewal This agreement shall be renewed every three years from the date of signing (below) and will be continued, modified, or terminated upon mutual agreement of the undersigned parties.
