A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part II of the third schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Persons possessing qualifications included in part II of the third schedule of this Act shall also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of the section 13 of the said Act. 2. A postgraduate qualification recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or equivalent thereto (i.e. if a person with postgraduate medical qualifications awarded in the United States of America, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia or New Zealand desires to take up a teaching appointment, his/her qualification can be considered as equivalent to MD/MS/DM/MCh as the case may be, for the post of Assistant in respective departments. Diplomate National Board (DNB) shall be treated as equivalent to MD/MS DM/MCh qualifications of the respective broad / super-specialties. 3. A total of 10, 6 and 3 years of teaching and/or research experience at a recognized teaching institution, after the prescribed MD degree for the posts of Additional, Associate and Assistant, respectively; or 8, 4 and 1 year of teaching and/or research experience, respectively, after obtaining the degree of DM (2-year duration) in the concerned specialty; or 7, 3 and 0 years of teaching and/or research experience after obtaining the degree of DM (3 years duration) in the respective specialty as on last date for submission of applications. In subjects where DM qualification is not yet mandated by the MCI, 3-years post MD experience with special training/ experience as prescribed my MCI in the concerned specialty at an Institution recognized by the MCI for the purpose will be accepted.

Essential qualification are as under: Department / Specialty Neonatology Post Assistant Associate Additional Essential Academic qualifications D.M. (Neonatology)/ M.D. (Paediatrics) with two years special training in Neonatology. Additional Training / Teaching and or Research Experience in the Specialty of Neonatology (i) For the candidates possessing MD degree from MCI recognized medical college. Three years teaching experience in the subject as Resident/ Registrar/ Demonstrator/ Tutor in a recognized medical college after obtaining requisite qualification. (ii) Equivalence of qualification of DNB (broad specialties) with MD & DNB (super-specialties) with DM. (a) Those candidates who have undergone DNB training in an institution which now run MCI recognized postgraduate degree courses in a given subject, their DNB qualifications shall be considered at par with MCI recognized qualifications that subject only. (b) Those candidates who have undergone DNB training in a multi specialty teaching hospital with atleast 500 beds, involved in various postgraduate/ super-specialty teaching programmes provided that the one out of three DNB supervisors (teachers) qualify as postgraduate teacher as per MCI norms in their previous appointment; and one out of remaining two should qualify as postgraduate teacher as per MCI regulations with the following bed requirement for teaching unit: Postgraduate broad specialties beds should be 30 beds per unit }, Postgraduate super specialties 20 beds per unit } 50 % teaching Such qualifications shall be considered at par with MCI recognized qualification. (iii) Additional training of one year for equivalence of qualification of DNB (broad Specialties) with MD & DNB (super-specialties) with DM. Those candidates who have undergone DNB training (both broad specialties and super-specialties) in hospital/ institution other than mentioned in (ii) above, shall undergo one additional year of senior residency or equivalent training or research job in a MCI recognized hospital/ institution, provided such qualifications are notified in the Postgraduate Medical Education Regulations 2000 Research Publications 1- For Additional Minimum of four Research publications in indexed/national journals. 2- For Associate a minimum of two Research publications in indexed/ national journals. 3- As regards teaching and/or research experience it is mentioned in the title essential qualification and experience as above.

Pay scales (as per 7 th Pay commission) : I. Assistant : Level 12 II. Associate : Level 13 A1 III. Additional : Level 13 A2 In addition, applicable non-practising allowance (to clinically-qualified candidates) and other allowances as per the Institute rules will be paid. New pension scheme of the government will be applicable. Upper age limit: 50 years as on 01 July 2018. I II III The age limit may be relaxable for exceptionally qualified candidates at the discretion of the selection committee, within the outer limit as prescribed by MCI. Government servants, and candidates belonging to scheduled castes / scheduled tribes / other backward class as per Uttar Pradesh Govt. rules / orders. Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Class, Dependents of Freedom Fighter, PH., Ex-Serviceman and women candidates who are not the permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh shall not be given the benefit of reservation/age relaxation. Such candidates shall be treated as the candidates of the General Category. In case of woman candidates, only caste certificates issued on the father s side will be treated as valid. General conditions: Applicants may also be considered for appointment on contractual basis or on deputation. Incomplete applications (examples non-deposition of requisite fee; certificates in support of experience claimed; registration of medical qualifications by MCI when applicable, or caste etc) will be rejected. Advance applications will be accepted. However, a copy forwarded through proper channel or a noobjection certificate from the current employer must be submitted before or on the day of interview. Exceptionally-qualified candidates having meritorious records and/or specialized experience may be considered for advance increments on the recommendation of the selection committee. In case of nonavailability of candidates with requisite qualifications and experience, the selection committee may make such recommendations as it may deem fit subject to the provisions laid down by the MCI. The number of posts indicated above is provisional and subject to change without prior notice. Selections may or may not be held for all the advertised posts. Application Fees- form will be filled online at the Institute s website http://www.sgpgi.ac.in A Nonrefundable application fee of Rs 2000 for general category persons and Rs 1000 for OBC/SC/ST domiciled in the state of Uttar Pradesh including overseas candidates should be paid online before filling the application form. The candidate must ensure that the correct and complete information. It will be used to determine suitability for appearing in the interview. The Institute will not be responsible if application of any candidate is rejected on the basis of incomplete or faulty information filled online. Three testimonials / reference letters specific to the advertisement must reach the Institute directly either not later than 10 July, 2018 by email sgpgi.fac.appl@gmail.com or by post at Executive Registrar, Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Raebareli Road, Lucknow 226014, India. Documentary proof of experience claimed is a must. Candidates will be intimated by email regarding the date of interview. No TA / DA will be paid to attend the interview. Mere eligibility does not entitle a candidate to be called for an interview or to claim for appointment. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal Interview. Skype / digital interviews may be permitted on request, subject to the candidate accepting inherent risks of technology failure.

The appointment shall be subject to certification of medical fitness by the Medical Board of Institute. After on-line submission, a print out of the application and attachments needs to be sent by speed post / registered post / courier only. This must contain: copies of proofs of educational/academic qualifications, experience, testimonials, research publications, no-objection certificate from current employer etc, as indicated therein. In the case of difficulty in uploading annexures online, these necessarily need to be enclosed along with the print copy and a covering letter indicating this fact. It is mandatory to self- attest copies of all the certificates along with the submitted application form. The envelope must be superscribed Application for faculty position and mention the advertisement number and is addressed to the Executive Registrar, Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Raebareli Road, Lucknow 226014, India. The deadline for receipt of the print out of the submitted application is 02 July, 2018. Applications by hand will not be entertained. If the last date of submission of application is a holiday, the application will be accepted till 5 PM on the next working day. The decision of the Institute in respect of eligibility and suitability of a candidate shall be final. Director of the Institute reserves the right to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason. All disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Lucknow bench of Hon ble High Court of Judicature at Allahabad. Detailed instructions for filling on-line applications: The candidates need to first pay the application fee online, latest by 18 June, 2018, 17:00 hours Indian Standard Time failing which it will not be possible to apply. The application form will become available for online filling after a gap of one working day (for instance, if fee is deposited on 01 June, 2018, the form will become available on 03 June 2018, after a gap of one working day). The Institute will send an SMS / email to each payee when the online form becomes available. The deadline for filling the online form is 25 June, 2018 at 5:00 pm. Only those who complete all the steps (pay the fees, complete the online form, and send the printed form with enclosures by the above deadlines) will be considered. Filling the application form Open the home page of SGPGI at www.sgpgi.ac.in 1 Click on the link that announces the advertisement for faculty posts On the Online form submission tab, click on Register and Pay Online >>The State Bank of India>> State Bank Collecton the page that opens.. accept Terms and Conditions, and click on Proceed. Select Category as application fee, select the correct Advertisement Number, fill details of payment and submit. At this stage, you will be required to provide your name, date of birth, 10-digit mobile phone number, email ID, father s and mother s names. Be sure to fill these particulars carefully / accurately, and provide a mobile number and email ID that you regularly use. While filling your online registration slip / application form. It is your responsibility to note down your registered email-id, mobile number and bank transaction number beginning with DU and date of birth for future steps. No telephonic / personal request to retrieve these will be entertained. Take print out of your SBI collect transaction number. This transaction number will be used for filling online application form. Verify details and confirm transaction Pay fees using options provided (Net banking, credit card, debit card or challan paid in a branch of State Bank of India). A transaction alert will be sent to your registered mobile number. After one clear working day (for instance if you made payment on working day 1, then should log in on working day 3; Sundays and holidays do not count), log in at SGPGI website at www.sgpgi.ac.in 2. On the tab, Online form submission, select Complete form.

Fill the transaction number and your date of birth. The main form will open, partially populated with some personal details. Complete it. Click on Submit once and please wait, and upload documents. Online form submission is mandatory. Submission of only hard copy application is not sufficient. You will need to upload scanned copies of your recent photograph, signature and all relevant documents as separate files (PDF format). To merge relevant documents, a pdf merge link is provided in case required. When entry of data and uploading of documents has been completed, click on Back to print documents. Then, print pages 1, 2 and 3, and send these along with self-attested supporting documents by post to the Executive Registrar. If you are unable to access the website www.sgpgi.ac.in, you may reach the bank s website directly at https://www.onlinesbi.com/prelogin/icollecthome.htm. Then accept Terms and conditions and click on Proceed. For State, choose Uttar Pradesh, and for Type of corporate/institution, choose Educational institutions, and for Educational Institutions Name, choose SGPGI. Then choose Payment category as Application fee, select the correct Advertisement number, fill details and proceed to the subsequent steps.
