Graduate Profile Joseph Nkandu MBA Nairobi, Kenya (Class 2012) Founder of NUCAFE Joseph founded NUCAFE - National Union of Coffee Agribusiness and Farm Enterprises to insure that Ugandan farmers a fair deal for their work and that everyone in the community benefits from the coffee industry. NUCAFE is sustainable market-driven system of coffee farmer organizations which improves household incomes in 19 districts of Uganda and operates across the entire coffee value chain. Today it counts almost 1,300,000 members among associations, cooperatives, and family owned farms. Since completing the MBA, Joseph has been named Ashoka Fellow and Africa Agricultural Role Model. He has received financing from several important institutions and won significant awards such as the Africa Continental Award of the Agricultural Sector in 2017. He has created 1,252 jobs in the coffee value chain. I am grateful to E4Impact for empowering me to develop the agricultural value chains beyond coffee. The skills I ve acquired have strengthened me in influencing policy change and creating shared value as Uganda s coffee revolution 2

Graduate Profile Amin Sulley MBA Accra, Ghana (Class 2016) Founder of Zaacoal Amin founded Zaacoal to counter the deforestation, pollution and deaths associated with traditional cooking fuels in Ghana. Zaacoal smokeless coal-like pellets from 100% recycled organic material to offer poor households a clean, healthy and affordable cooking fuel. It has created jobs for 7 full-time employees and over 100 casual workers. In less than two years, Amin moved from 5 bags a day to a factory that produces over 500 bags a day, from one to over 50 vendors, a supermarket chain and a string of hotels and restaurants. Amin was recognized by Forbes Magazine as a top 30 under 30 entrepreneur in 2016. The MBA gave me confidence. I think it was made for me as I had every aspect of my business scrutinized for good. We solved several problems and the mentorship was great. This is very unusual of an MBA program, I think only E4Impact does this 3

Graduate Profile Chérif Ndiaye MBA Dakar, Senegal (Class 2017) Founder of Ecoles au Senegal Chérif founded Ecoles au Senegal to improve the proficiency of secondary school students in Senegal by giving them access to video lessons from some of the top teachers of the country. Ecoles au Senegal is a web platform that contains over 700 videos in all subjects. It averaged 50,000 visits a month in 2017. Chérif signed a partnership with the Bureau of Literacy and National Languages of the Ministry of Education of Senegal and was named best social entrepreneur in Senegal in 2014. In 2017 he was chosen to participate in the Incubation Path of CTIC Dakar (Orange and the World Bank), the first ICT incubator for Frenchspeaking Africa. The MBA perfectly meets the needs of entrepreneurs by providing real added value through training courses with set of skills to get started in setting up a successful project to impact by creating wealth, jobs and social impact. 4

Global MBA in Impact Entrepreneurship The Global MBA in Impact Entrepreneurship is a 12 month program offered by E4Impact Foundation with University of Medical Sciences & Technology (UMST) and ALTIS Graduate School Business and Society of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan (Italy). Business Development Process IDEATING SOLUTIONS The MBA is project-based. Each course responds to a specific need that arises in the starting or scaling of a business. In the classroom lecturers and business experts use a workshop type format to share innovative tools. These workshops feature group projects and meetings with successful entrepreneurs. Structure: Initial Boot Camp Long Weekend 1 Business Model Design Accounting for Entrepreneurs Market Analysis SME Governance Oct 22-28 2018 Nov 30-Dec 2 2018 Three 6-day Boot Camps made up fulltime classroom lessons(initial, Mid and Final Boot Camps); Six 3-day Long Weekends of fulltime classroom lessons; Eight Distance Learning periods of 6 weeks each. Business Services Business Coach A full time dedicated consultant supports MBA participants in developing their business plan and establishing relationships with the business community. Mentorship MBA participants receive experienced guidance through regular contact with successful local and international business people and MBA Alumni. Alumni Platform MBA participants are given visibility in the E4Impact Alumni Platform to aid them in meeting potential suppliers, customers and investors from Italy and Europe. Solutions Book MBA participants are given access to the Solutions Book which offers business models, best practices and technologies that can enhance the performance of their company. 8

Engaging investors Business Competitions Talks with Investors The MBA organizes 3 business competitions in which participants have the occasion to develop their business network and pitch to a panel of investors: Business Idea Competition: organized prior to the Initial Boot Camp. Entrepreneurs show the potential of their Business Idea; Business Model Competition: Organized at the Mid Boot Camp. Entrepreneurs show the soundness of their business model; Business Plan Competition: organized at the end of the Final Boot Camp. Entrepreneurs show the economic profitability and viability of their business. Throughout the MBA students are introduced into investors that supports them during and after the launch of their impact venture. During these meetings, entrepreneurs become familiar with investors requirements and develop a trustful relationships with the aim of raising investments to start or scale up their businesses. Global Social Ventura Competition Investors Database E4Impact entrepreneurs would have access to a database with more than 150 investors from Africa and Europe in order to find out those one can be of help for their business. The best MBA participants at pan-african level would have the occasion to be directly admitted to the GSVC Global Social Venture Competition African Finals, to compete for a cash prize and receive further training. The global finals of GSVC takes place every year in a different city around the world. 9

Business Networking Program in Italy The top MBA entrepreneurs will be invited to attend a oneweek business networking program in Milan, Italy. During the program entrepreneurs will meet: International investors; Successful Entrepreneurs; Business Associations; EU based chambers of commerce; Export Credit Authorities. The program will include: Training workshops and Business cases; Mentoring sessions; Networking events; Company / institution visits; Tour of Milan.

Admission Requirements To apply candidates must have: An existing business that they desire to scale; Or A business idea (profit or non-profit) with social/environmental impact that they intend to launch; A three-year University degree is also required.
