Each acceptable subject examination with a score of 50 or higher may earn 4 units of credit. Note that each subject foreign language exam may earn up to 8 units. Up to 16 units may be used to meet general education requirements, provided the tests were subject examinations. No duplicate credit is given for CLEP or DANTES tests and course covering the same content. Extension Courses: A Pepperdine preadmission advisor will provide an unofficial evaluation of extension coursework. Assessment of Prior Learning (APL): A maximum of 30 semester units from a regionally accredited college may be submitted for elective unit transfer. 9

Online Courses: Semester units may be submitted for transfer from a regionally accredited college. Veterans are required to submit DD Form 214, and active duty military personnel must submit DD Form 295. Military Service Schools: Credit may be granted for military schools and courses recommended for credit by the American Council on Education (ACE).
