Samohi Graduation Requirements Pass ALL required courses Earn a total of 220 credits Pass both sections of the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) with a score of 350 or higher (380 = proficient) Math English *This exam is FIRST taken in 10 th grade
Credits 1 course= 5 credits (if passed with D or higher) 6 courses X 5 credits = 30 credits Students must earn 220 credits for graduation Typical # of credits earned by the end of each grade level: 9 th = 60 credits 10 th = 120 credits 11 th = 180 credits 12 th = 240 credits

Athletic Information STUDENTS MUST COMPLETE A PRELIMINARY CLEARANCE (PHYSICAL EXAMINATION FORM ) IN ORDER TO TRY-OUT OR PRACTICE. NO EXCEPTIONS!! All sports require a tryout on the day prescribed by the coach. Actual tryout dates will be posted at http://www.samohi.smmusd.org/athletics/index.html There are many advantages to joining a sport: being a member of team and thus feel a part of Samohi, demonstrates commitment to colleges as well as possible scholarships, and an incentive to maintain at least a 2.0 grade point average.
