Unfortunately, we have had to cancel swimming lessons today due to staff illness. Lessons were in full swing last week, running very smoothly. Thursday this week is the last day of lessons. Students have been improving every day. Thank you to everyone who has helped this vital program to run safely and smoothly. Tonight, I will be hosting the Aspire Me Art Exhibition Opening at the Peppin Heritage Centre in Deniliquin. The exhibition is a culmination of the Aspire Me Art camp held in mid-november, with students artworks now proudly on display to the general public. Three of our students have artwork on display Elly Ryan, Matt Miller and Ella-Rose Hare. The exhibition closed on Wednesday 14 th December. This Friday, we will hear from students wishing to be leaders of our school in 2017. We look forward to hearing their speeches and to the students deciding on who their 2017 leaders will be. Catherine Peach 1

THANK YOU MISS HANDS Over the past four weeks, Miss Jaclyn Hands completed her final teaching practicum at our school, teaching on the Yr 5/6 and Yr 4/5 classes. Our rural school is very different to the schools Miss Hands has been used to, and she thoroughly enjoyed being able to get to know what it is like teaching in rural communities. Sincere thanks go to Mrs Disher, Miss Fyfe and Mrs Radywonik for hosting Jackie and so generously helping her to hone her craft of teaching. This assembly is an opportunity to come together to celebrate the 2016 school year and we hope look forward to school families and friends joining us.
