Foundation-Statutory Requirements
Speech Requirement A specific speech course will not be required under the Foundation High School Program, but at Hondo High School we will require every student to take a speech class.
Performance Acknowledgements 12 or more hours of dual credit Score of 3 or better on an AP exam Commended Scholar or higher on PSAT 1250 or higher SAT 28 or higher on ACT Score at the Advanced High level on TELPAS for bilingualism Earning a nationally or internationally recognized business or industry certification or license
Endorsements-Statutory Requirements A student may earn an endorsement by successfully completing: Curriculum requirements for the endorsement Four credits in mathematics Four credits in science Two additional elective credits
STEM Mathematics courses Business & Industry Ag, Food, and Natural Resources Endorsements Public Services Human Services Arts & Humanities Social Studies courses Multidisciplinary Advanced course from endorsement areas Science courses Architecture & Construction Language course other than English Foundation subject area courses (to include English IV and chemistry and/or physics) Computer Science Business Management & Administration Art courses Advanced Placement or Dual Credit courses Finance Music courses English elective courses Theatre courses
