3 Why an Online Master s in Innovation and Entrepreneurship? Program Overview The Online Master s in Innovation and Entrepreneurship is composed of 20 courses and takes between 10 and 16 months to complete, depending on how much time you can dedicate to your studies. The program is delivered and assessed exclusively in English. CERTIFICATE Innovation and entrepreneurship play a crucial role in creating value and ensuring the success and sustainability of companies throughout the world. Managers need to be able to identify and develop innovative and high-potential commercial opportunities, understand how to find the best talents and raise capital, manage rapid growth and risks, and enhance their decision-making and entrepreneurial skills. This is why we have designed a self-paced, online degree program to meet the specific needs of current and future business leaders in charge of innovation or business development, as well as experienced or aspiring entrepreneurs. The flexible online format of the Master s degree means you can join the program from anywhere in the world and combine your studies with your current professional activities. It is composed of three for-credit Specializations (Scaling-Up, Creativity and Innovation, and Innovation and Entrepreneurial Strategy). Each for-credit Specialization contains four courses and can also be taken as a stand-alone program. Successful completion of all three Specializations (12 short courses in total) leads to an HEC Paris Certificate. The credits gained can then be used toward the Online Master s in Innovation and Entrepreneurship as well as other degree programs at HEC Paris Executive Education, if you are admitted to the program concerned. 4 Program For-credit Specializations, Certificate and Master s degree The innovative and flexible format of the program has been specifically designed for busy professionals and is composed of two distinct parts. In part one you complete a series of self-paced, online foundational courses that lead to the Online Certificate in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship. Part two features a six-month project-based curriculum taught by HEC Paris faculty and mentored by seasoned entrepreneurs and business leaders. The key objective is to help you learn how to transform ideas into business reality, culminating in a final pitch before of a jury. 5 Learning methods The aim of our innovative, hands-on action-based learning approach is to strike the right balance between theory and practice. The fully online nature of the Certificate courses allows you to learn at your own rhythm and adapt the program to your individual learning style. The degree only project-based courses are run in an interactive webinar format and feature support and coaching for the team projects from HEC Paris experts. Admission The admissions process for the Online Master s in Innovation and Entrepreneurship is rigorous but straightforward. HEC Paris welcomes applications from candidates based all over the world. How to apply You will need to upload the following documents to complete your application: A copy of your university transcripts A copy of your degree English language proficiency test score (TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS or CAMBRIDGE). Native speakers of English or candidates who already have a degree from an institution where all instruction was conducted in English, are exempted Résumé (CV) and 2 online letters of recommendation 3-minute online video pitch, focusing on your motivations for participating in the program with concrete examples of how you have demonstrated an entrepreneurial mindset during your career GMAT or GRE results. Please note, that although the submission of a GMAT or GRE score is not mandatory, it will be taken into consideration for those who have taken the exam If you are currently enrolled, or have completed, the Certificate in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship, you will need to submit your proctored exam results in order to earn credits towards the degree Alternative admission and eligibility criteria Applicants who do not meet the minimum eligibility criteria, but have demonstrated strong academic performance in the Online Certificate in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship will be considered for admission and can apply. Final admission decision When completed, your application will be submitted to the HEC Paris Online Master s in Innovation and Entrepreneurship Admissions Committee for the final decision. In some cases, you may be invited to an online interview with one of the Program Directors. Admissions decisions are communicated within 2-3 weeks of submitting your application depending on whether or not we request an interview. 6 7
