Parents Evenings Thank you to all Parents and Carers who attended Parents Evenings last week. It was lovely to have you here at school. Any parents who still want to make an appointment please see your child s teacher to arrange a suitable time. Sport Relief Wed 21 st March Sponsored Run Well done to all the children for taking part in the sponsored run and a huge Thank You! to all Parents and Carers for helping us to raise 1,236 for this fantastic event. The last day to hand in sponsorship money is Wednesday 28 th March. Books for our school library If you have any suitable books for use in our school library we would be happy to have them! Thank you to those Parents and Carers who have recently donated books. Upcoming Events March 29 Wear a Hat day School closes for Easter Holidays School Council Fundraising: The school council have been raising money in aid of Brain Tumour Research. A bake sale was held last Thursday, which raised over 250! Thank you to all who supported this worthy cause. Further activities this week include: Selling badges and bracelets in the mornings before school (look out for our school council members at the gate!) Wear a Hat Day Thursday 29 th March Children can make a hat to wear or bring in their favourite one along with a 1 donation. Page 1 of 7

7 Friends of WGPS 26 th March & 29 th March Easter Egg Competition The idea is for all children decorate a hard-boiled egg at home and bring it in to school during the week beginning 26 th March. Each class has an area to display the eggs. On Thursday 29th March we will announce the winners/runners up of the egg decorating competition. There will be first, second and third prizes for: Reception & KS1 Years 3 & 4 Years 5 & 6 The eggs can be decorated however you like, Easter themed, super heroes, patterned, animals etc. We are really looking forward to seeing what your children can create! 21 st April (Saturday) Table Top Sale We will be holding a table top sale at school on 21 st April 2018 for a charge of 10 per table which goes to the school. We would like to invite you to sell any household items. Any money made on your table is yours to keep! 18 th May Royal Wedding event Children will celebrate the upcoming royal wedding with a party in the playground and other themed fun.
