P E A C H Page 2 P A R E N T I N F O R M A T I O N EVERY DAY COUNTS Attending school, one day at a time builds a great foundation to your education! 2016 ANNUAL REPORT A copy of our School s 2016 Annual Report is available for collection and reading at our School Office for interested people. PUPIL FREE DAYS Term 2 The following days are designated Pupil Free days for Term 2: 1. June 12th Monday - Queen s Birthday Holiday 2. June 13th Tuesday - Report Writing Day EMERGENCY CONTACT NUMBERS If any contact numbers, addresses, details, s etc have changed, please contact our school to update asap FOUNDATION AND NEW ENROLMENTS Due to the high level of interest, our school is currently accepting enrolments for the 2018 School Year. Early enrolment GUARANTEES placement. At present our school has 13 Foundation enrolments for CROSS COUNTRY Our school has 30 children competing in Cross Country this Thursday 30th April at Bostock Reserve, Ballan. We wish them all the best. SCHOOL BANKING A reminder, Thursday is our School Banking Day. MINOR GAMES Minor Games will be running again this term and we will be commencing next Tuesday 2nd May. The activity provided each Tuesday will be up to the discretion of the staff members who are running the session. Activities will run for the next seven Tuesdays commencing at 3:45pm and all children need to be collected by 4:45pm. The number of children participating in these sessions will need to be limited to 40. Please complete the permission slip below if you want your child in the program and return asap. P E A C H Page 3 P A R E N T I N F O R M A T I O N MOTHER S DAY STALL - 12th May Our Fundraising Team will be running a Mother s Stall on Friday 12th May. Gifts will range from $1 to $5.00. Please ensure that your child brings their money in a named envelope (just in case it is lost). The stall will run from 11:30. FUNDRAISING On the next page is a list of Term 2 activities. There are quite a few dates to mark in you diary and some we need assistance. Please complete the forms as soon as possible TRIVIA NIGHT Our World Famous TRIVIA NIGHT will be held on Saturday, October 28th at the Myrniong Hall. Only 14 TABLES will be available for sale. Cost is $20 per person, tables of 10. The night will be a sensational night of entertainment, surprises, serious fancy dress, dancing and singing. The event will be BYO drinks and food and will commence at 7pm sharp. Tickets will go on sale in May, book your table early to avoid disappointment. LOST PROPERTY Could all parents and students please check our Lost property Basket (located in our First Aid Room) as something might belong to you. SCHOOL CHAPLAIN Our new School Chaplain Sigrid Limburg has commenced. We look forward to Sigrid's input to our school community. Should you require further information please see your child's classroom teacher. LIFE EDUCATION PROGRAM In the past week the Life Education van has been visiting our school. All classes participated in the program, which is a vital part of our School s Curriculum. SCHOOL CHAPLAIN Our new School Chaplain, Sigrid Limburg has started at our school. Should you need to see Sigrid please contact your classroom teacher. NEWSLETTER - Distribution from Term 3 We are looking at distributing our school newsletter via and Tiqbiz. The amount of paper we use and the time it takes can be alleviated by using modern technology. Should you require a hard copy they can be collected from the school office. Can you please complete the form below with your address. Notices and forms will be sent out if they need to be filled out. More than address can be provided. SCHOOL COUNCIL MEETING A reminder that the next meeting of our School Council will be conducted on Tuesday 9th May, commencing at 5pm in our School Staffroom. SCHOLASTIC BOOK CLUB Our school has been set up for the Book Club Loop which is an online Ordering and Payment Option. Many parents already pay online then send the order form to school to be ordered. Now you can order and pay online at the same time which will make our job much easier. On the next page is the directions of how to do this. You can still send your order form into school and pay cash/eft as you did before if you prefer. Please note the Book Club orders sent home today are due to be ordered or returned to school by next Wednesday 3rd May.
