11 Getting around Hop on the bus The university inter-campus bus service (94U) operates between all three campuses and the Pittville Student Village, so it s easy to get around. You can t miss our buses either; they re fully branded with images of just some of our very talented students! Local Stagecoach services are only 1.40 per journey with your student ID card for any journey in the Stagecoach West area ( 3.00 on the N10 and N94 services). Pick up a timetable in one of our reception areas or download the Stagecoach bus app to search for the 94U (university bus) timetable. Annual bus pass offer You can buy an annual bus pass for 350 which will be especially handy if you are travelling from Pittville Student Village to Park or Oxstalls campuses. This gives you unlimited travel on the inter-campus bus service as well as other local services perfect for visits to other places in and around Gloucestershire. Visit the online store to buy your annual bus pass: store.glos.ac.uk

12 Get on your bike Cheltenham and Gloucester are great places for cycling as nowhere is too far away and the roads and cycle paths are fairly flat! Cycling is also one of the cheapest ways of getting around. Our campuses include both covered and open cycle racks so that you can lock up your bike before a lecture. Cheltenham town and Gloucester city centres also boast a significant number of cycle stands if you are popping into town. Visit for more information about cycling in Gloucestershire and download some useful cycle maps. TOP TIP: Visit our partners at for cheap, second-hand bikes. Perfect for getting to and from campus. Catch a cab If you need a taxi in Cheltenham or Gloucester, please remember to specify the site (Park, Francis Close Hall, Hardwick, Oxstalls or Pittville). Here are a couple of taxi companies to help you out. Cheltenham: A2B: Andycars: Starline: Gloucester: Gloucester Taxis: A Star Taxis: Associated Taxis: Cars and parking Parking facilities at the university are extremely limited. If you re living in halls, you aren t allowed to bring cars as a condition of your tenancy (or any other motor vehicle). If you re not in halls, we d rather you didn t use a car for travelling to and from the university. The university bus and flat cycle routes make it easy to live locally without the need for a car. However, if you re travelling from home or private rented accommodation and you do need to drive, you ll need a permit to park on the university grounds between the hours of 8.30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Parking fees are as follows: Student permits: 50 per annum. Person with a disability: Blue Badge holders can apply for a free permit per day: either using pre-bought scratch-cards from the online store or the pay and display machine. You can apply through the online store: PLEASE NOTE: As we try to be good neighbours, we would discourage you from parking on residential streets surrounding our campuses. We re a community with sustainability at our heart. You can be involved in our sustainability culture, through your learning, development and life on campus. Check out REFECTORIES AND BARS From grabbing a warming morning coffee to an ice-cold drink, each campus offers a wide choice of food and drink. Find the latest information and offers on BaxterStorey s (our catering provider) University of Gloucestershire website uog-catering.co.uk or download The Food Club app to make mobile payments and earn points.
