6 Meeting Information Resident/Fellow Members and Medical Students Activities The chapter will be holding Doctor s Dilemma and Iron Med Competitions for Residents. Iron Med is an interactive program that allows residents to test their medical skills and will be held from 11:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Prizes will be awarded during the Doctor s Dilemma competition on Saturday afternoon, which will be held from Noon 5:00 p.m. Learning Objectives At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to: Apply updated knowledge of infectious disease, cardiology, and rheumatology to clinical practice. Improve clinical practice by incorporating major new developments in nephrology, pulmonology, and problem solving Diagnose and manage GI, geriatric, and thyroid problems Understand issues surrounding Maryland s Proposed End of Life Option Act Who Should Attend? The following awards will be presented: Theodore E. Woodward Award for Medical Education, Samuel P. Asper Award for Excellence in Internal Medicine, Mary Betty Stevens Award for Clinical Research, Philip A. Mackowiak Student Achievement Award, Hospitalist Award, and the Governor s Service Award. The awards will be presented during the reception on Friday. CME Accreditation and MOC Points The American College of Physicians is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The American College of Physicians designates this live activity for a maximum of 9.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
