Attendees include Clinical Engineers, Biomedical Engineers, Technicians, Nursing and other medical staff involved in evaluating, purchasing and managing healthcare technology. Exhibits Our vendors are a big part of the conference so be sure to stop by each booth. Prizes will be drawn for attendees who stop at each booth. Details will be at Registration. We ask that exhibitors plan to set up their booths and displays on Friday, January 27 th, between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm. The exhibit hall opens to conference participants beginning at 7:00 am on Saturday, January 28 th. Please see the conference schedule for specific times that the exhibit hall will be open during the day. The exhibitors will be able to start taking the booths down at 3:30 pm. For information on Exhibit Hall Booth Space, please contact an IBS Board Member. Awards The IBS Professional of the Year & Lifetime Achievement Recipient will be recognized during the luncheon. If you would like to nominate yourself, or another deserving member of the profession for Professional of the Year, please complete the form on the IBS website at by January 20th, Scholarship donations will also be presented for distribution to the scholarship recipients at IUPUI and Vincennes University. 3 Keynote Speaker Dr. Dale Nordenberg Dr. Nordenberg, Executive Director for the Medical Device Innovation, Safety, and Security Consortium (MDISS), is a member of the Health Information Technology Standards Advisory Committee (ONC, HHS) and the FDA s National Evaluation System for Technology Planning Board. He co-chairs the NHISAC s Medical Device Security Information Sharing Council including the medical device ISAO. He formerly serviced as the Chief Information Officer at CDC s National Center for Infectious Diseases; and a member of the FDA technology review committee of the Science Advisory Board, 2007 and Dr. Nordenberg, also CEO of Novasano, is board certified in pediatrics and medical informatics. He received a BS in Microbiology from the University of Michigan, his medical degree from Northwestern University, completed his training in pediatrics at McGill University, Montreal Children s Hospital, and his fellowship in epidemiology and public health in the Epidemic Intelligence Services Program at the Centers for Disease Control with a focus on big data. Dr. Nordenberg is graciously delivering the 2017 Indiana Biomedical Society Annual Conference keynote address entitled Medical Device Cyber Security: An Applied 10 Year Perspective to Achieve Safer Patient Environments. From I-65 North, take exit 113 toward Meridian Street, merge on to west 11th Street, then turn right on Meridian. Go south to West Ohio Street, turn right, the Sheraton is on the left.
