Many of you will choose to mark your achievement by donning a cap and gown and attending a graduation ceremony in Liverpool. The information you ll find in this pack should help you make the most of your graduation ceremony and time in the city. 7 12 The University of Liverpool Online 13 Event details Networking opportunities Online Graduates Recognition Ceremony and Reception Tuesday 5 December: 6.00 pm 9.00 pm St George s Hall, St George s Pl, Liverpool L1 1JJ (See map on page 18 for location) Join the University of Liverpool s Vice-Chancellor Professor Janet Beer for an evening reception celebrating the achievements of our online graduates. Meet & Greet networking will be followed by a formal speech and the presentation of Student and Dissertation of the Year awards. The evening will end with drinks and hors d oeuvres. This event is open to online graduates and their friends and family. We encourage a smart/formal dress code; national dress is very welcome. Please note that those wishing to attend this event should ensure they arrive promptly by 6.00 pm, as doors will close at 6.20 pm. There is no cost to attend, but please RSVP (confirm your attendance via the registration link in the you will receive from us) to help us cater accordingly. Places are limited so RSVP now to secure your attendance.

School of Histories, Languages and Cultures Reception (EdD) Tuesday 5 December: pm 2.15 pm Bistro in the Everyman Theatre, Hope Street (See maps on pages for location) Head of School, Professor Lin Foxhall will provide a brief welcome talk at 1.30pm followed by Professor Elaine Chalus and Professor Frank Shovlin presenting the student awards. All guests will receive a welcome drink on arrival, and canapés will be served before the speeches. Additional drinks can be purchased from the Bistro bar. The ceremony itself will take place at the Philharmonic Hall at 3.00 pm. 9 16 The University of Liverpool Online 17 Graduation checklist Before you arrive in Liverpool Please ensure that you have: Confirmed your intention to graduate on campus via the University of Liverpool website: The deadline for this was 10 November, so if you haven t already taken the above step, you must contact your Student Support Manager urgently for assistance. You cannot gain entrance to the graduation ceremony to receive your degree certificate unless you have confirmed your intentions to the University. Your Student Support Manager can provide more information if you are unsure whether you have confirmed or not. Ordered tickets for your guests to attend your ceremony: If you have questions about this, please contact the Graduation Enquiries team at: gradenq@liverpool.ac.uk Confirmed which events you would like to attend via the RSVP link ed to you recently: A number of our planned events require those attending to RSVP (please ensure you reply by November confirming your attendance). Ordered your gown and official photographs via the University of Liverpool website: To order your gown and official photos, please visit: Packed the correct clothing to wear under your cap and gown: We suggest that men wear dark suits, a white shirt and a tie, while women should wear dark skirts or trousers and a white or light-coloured blouse. Mortar boards should be worn throughout the ceremony. Once you arrive in Liverpool Remember to: Pick up your pre-ordered tickets, cap and gown on the day of your ceremony: Please collect your preordered tickets, cap and gown from Mountford Hall, Guild of Students on your graduation day from 7.30 am until no later than two hours before your graduation ceremony. See map for location. Be at the Graduation venue one hour before your ceremony begins: Students who arrive late will not be allowed in.
