3 What is our goal? There is a need for a European recognition of lab specialization in our filed to enable for individuals to work in other / all European countries. The EU is still in preparation of the regulation ( green paper ) Thus ESHG decided to install the EBMG; here the title ErCLG is in preparation goal: issue the European title from ESHG side. As soon as green paper is approved ask the EU to accept that ErCLG-title as the EU-approved one. green paper will be implemented in Jan 2016! 3

4 What we did until 2014 Collect data from all European countries if they have national titles. Establish a list which titles can be accepted for ErCLG (group 1). based on a questionnaire sent out to 43 countries. What we did until 2015 Find ways for people whose titles cannot be accepted for CLG (group 2). Find ways for people coming from countries without national specialization how to become possibly eligible for the CLG title (group 3). 4
